 Just today .... I had to go to the bank and this being a new town .... who knew?? The Wells Fargo is in the grocery store????? God, I miss civilization!!! :) Anyway, my first bank [Alpine Bank] had drive-thru .... it was great ... they even gave Toto a little bone [she turned her nose up at it, but it was a sweet gesture]. Then I followed the signs to our other bank .... it was in the store .... I was able to park where I could see my car. The bank was busy & I kept looking out the window and began to realize I looked like a bank robber!! When it came my turn, I explained to the teller that I didn't realize they were in a store [Patrick usually takes care of these errands but is out of town] .... I told the teller that I had to leave my little Yorkie in the car .... she told me next time to bring her in!! :) She said that unless I had to shop for groceries, that it was OK to bring her to the bank ... they are in the front of the store! Whew .... I just never leave her in the car and am considering getting a new car without the convertible top .... if she had to be in there, someone could just slash the top and grab her! I don't care about the car but I would die if my baby got stolen!! ;) |
I am very protective of Gigi. I'm acutely aware that precious pups get stolen all the time. My first yorkie stole my heart right out of college. She was stolen out of my apartment. They took her and everything that belonged to her (food, bowls, toys, leash, all of it), and they took nothing else. I never got her back, and it took me over 10 years to recover enough to get another yorkie..... |

This is exactly why I don't take Gabby and Gage with me unless I'm headed up to the deer camp for the week-end or to my in-laws. And IF I have to run pick up one of the boys somewhere, I MAY take Gage with me - he is the "calmer" of the 2 in the car and will stay where put whereas Gabby likes to "roam" (gosh, I need a car seat for her!!). Oh, and V---girl, I can SO relate to the gas station. If I have to get gas either before heading to the deer camp or when I get back, Gabby will sit on the backseat and whine until I get back in the car and crank it up. I mean, it's not like she can't see me - I'm right there!!! But to hear her, you'd think I had abandoned her forever! |
