Feeding Human Food 1 Attachment(s) I'I've been feeding my puppie (2months) Royal Canin, but everytime im eating something I feel bad and wanna feed her what im eating too. Is that a bad idea? and is there any type of human food that might be ok for me to feed her? |
food whatever you do .......DO NOT feed her grapes ..onions...pork...bones...chocolate! These are extremely toxic to dogs......... Ask your vet if a little cottage cheese or yogurt is OK for your pet........most human food can cause pancreatitis. Roxanne |
My vet said with there meal give them veg., or cottage cheese or even fruit. I don't give her meat other than whats in her food or a puppy can food. Then I only give her a teaspoon mixed with her food. She loves it. |
I feed mine scrambled eggs, chicken and rice and cottage cheese and yoqurt |
I give Ferdinand chicken, I've given him eggs ones, cottage cheese, and fruit. |
Carrots, broccoli, fruit, cottage cheese, boiled chicken, rice, plain yogurt, canned pumpkin are all good for your yorkie. |
I only homecook for Punkin, so she eats all human grade food. We have been doing this since Jan. and she loves it and is doing great! I prepare her food separately so I am sure she is getting the right things. When I do share my food I am careful that it's not something that will harm her and I do not give it from the table so she won't get in the habit of begging. |
Sissy also eats home cooked meals. She gets yogurt (Dannon Activia, vanilla) for breakfast, boiled, plain chicken with veggies, and sweet potato or brown rice for dinner and then fruit during the day. She does eat a few kibbles here and there and we use Solid Gold Wee Bits. |
Cottage cheese gives Gracie the squirts! Here is a list of bad foods for Yorkies. If it is not on the list, you are probably safe: http://mooreshaven.com/pets/dogs/saf...foodslist.html |
Too much of broccoli can cause harm. Try rotating whatever veggies that you feed her with. |
Thanks for all the input guys! Didn't wana wind up feeding her harmful food. :) |
