TICK infestation, HELP!!! We have been fightinng this tick problem for weeks now. I have had Lili dipped (last week) and the house sprayed for ticks and they are supposed to come back tomorrow too. A week ago when lili was cleaned and had NO ticks and the house was treated the same day. Now 7 days later I have picked several ticks off her live and dead. I put Lili on Frontline Plus 3 weeks ago and the ticks are still living on her. I don't know if I should have her held at the kinnell till we can kill all the ticks in the house, but if i did it would be costly and who knows how long it would take. I need some help. Please let me know what else I can do. Thanks |
We keep that Ortho stuff (sorry I can't remember the name) sprinkled in the yard. It can be found at Walmart in lawn and garden in a bright orange/red bag. It kills fleas and ticks before they can get on your dawg or in your house. Good Luck, Teri |
use advantix it repels & kill :D |

The Frontline should kill the tics as the get on her. You can probably treat her again in a week |
Oh you poor thing I cant imagine what you are going thru....ticks competely freak me out! I always like when the cooler weather comes along so those nasty ticks go away! I hear that advantix stuff works well. Good luck to you. |
There is some Ortho spray for pets....that you actually spray on your pet...well, my vet told me w/ Mojo being small, to spray a rag with it and then rub it on his skin......it kills the ticks INSTANTLY! We have bought ours at the vet office, but I have seen it at a place called Halberts (in my area), they are a vet/fed store type place. Oh, the spray works for fleas too. |
Crush up the following herbs and place the mixture in a small muslin bag, then leave the bag near the pets bedding. Use about a 1/2 ounce of each. Makes a great repellant. Dried peppermint, eucalyptus, bay leaf, sage, rosemary, cloves,& marjoram. Also a method that will kill the tick. For yard, porch, where ever they might be hiding. Crush the entire basil plant & place the basil into 2 quarts of water. Allow it to remain for 2 hours before straining & using it in a sprayer. This method has been used for hundreds of years. |
