some people simply just dont get it..... |
Awwww, how sad! Some people just don't understand how we treat our furbabies like family. |
We live in a very small town (400 people). And I'm sure people think I'm crazy. My babies go with me every where. Okay there isn't too many places to go in town- 1 grocery store-1gas station-1 hard ware store-a post office-bank and library. We live a block from the school, and I often run things up there for my kids and my babies always go with me, and I just know the teachers up there think I'm loony. Some people just don't get it. My mom is kind of an anti animal person. I swear I must have been adopted. we have a bunny, two hamsters, 7horses and Roxi, Titan and the babies. And when ever Roxi goes near my mom she shoos her away:eek: I just can't beleive it. Roxi is supper sweet. We always keep her clean, and she's pretty well behaved and my mom shoos her. We so can't be related. |
I always wonder how can ppl not like dogs? My bf's sister's bf (lol) says he hates dogs , I'm like HOW???? |
lol a lot of people don't get it. and yes, dressing our babies up is cute, but maybe you should try explaining to him that dogs this size actually have a hard time regulating their body temperature. putting clothes on them in the winter is actually for their own health. otherwise, they really could freeze and get sick. Lotte is hardly affected, but my Bounce has a sweater/jacket collection a mile long b/c even in the summer, he gets cold and shakes in places that the AC is really on. |
My brother is 29years old. He is my half brother but still my brother!:p I showed him a picture of Sonia dressed up for trick or treating. She had a little sweater on and a bow, Which she shook off her head N E Ways.. He looked and didnt say N E Thing..LoL. If he knew my husband was the one who dressed her and insisted on bringing her with us trick or treating, My poor husband would never hear the end of it..I told my hubby that i read somewhere that in the MAN LAW...it says that a man shall not own a dog smaller then a football and definatly not dress it in sweaters or bows.. He says that Sonia is my dog and i said "Who's the one who bought the clothes for her"? He looks like a big dork rolling around the yard with this tiny small baby in a pink sweater. I wonder what the Manley neighbors with their big dogs think..I bet their wives think it's cute..I do.. |
I would try not to let it bother me too much. Does he have a dog. My brother and his family have a dog and a couple of cats. My brother is by no means an animal person. He doesn't mind having them around but, he will not go out of his way to pick one up, if they jump up in his lap he will pet them. WOW. I can't believe that he told you that. |

My husband is the one who got me into yorkies. He and his ex had one and I kinda of inherited her after their divorce and we got married. I have loved them ever since. We also have a lab that we love but, we have already said that whenever something happens to her unless, we change our minds that we don't want another big dog. My husbands best friend has a Min Pin and she is his pride and joy. Most guys that think like that have probably never been around a little dog or if they have are ashamed to admit it to their macho friends that they really like them. |
how sad that your brother feels this way! I wish everyone could understand the love we have for are babies, but I guess everyone is different. Maybe one day he will see how she makes you feel and he will "get it" Best wishes to you! |
He has no pets. My mom only let us have cats. My husbands mom just found out how much we paid for Sonia and asked us why did we pay so much for that dog. What is so special about her and why couldnt we have gotton a dog like his brothers dog? $50 from the paper. His brothers wife is so jealous of Sonia. She doesnt like her in her house. I dont care what people think of how we dress her..How much she was.....She's ours..Even though she still poops everywhere......:D |
