front paws bigger than hind paws? hey guys, i was trimming Cash's paws today when i noticed that his front paws are bigger than the paws on his hind legs. Is this normal? has anyone else noticed this? his front legs also looks thicker than his hind legs which is why i'm guessing they would be bigger? I don't know. the difference is noticable but not so much bigger that i'm freaking out. maybe i'm just being trivial. |
I don't think all dogs are uniformed. Pipers feet look huge. Her front are larger than her back. Didn't notice until you had me look. |
My baby's front paws are bigger than the back ones too! Maybe its the same with all dogs? Human's legs are not uniformed either but you can't really see it if its just a minor difference. |
My chi has bigger front paws then back paws. |
wheww... i'm so relieved. I thought i was just seeing things but I guess they're the same as us in terms of the body parts of your dominant side being bigger. |
Lucy's Front paws are also bigger than the back paws. I thought it was only Lucy. I never thought to ask about it, glad you did. |
front paws bigger I knew the cairne terrier had bigger front paws, but my yorkie does too. Significantly larger. From their roots I guess....diggers. |
As far as I know, all dogs have larger front paws. |
I think it's pretty common among most dogs to have larger front paws because they do carry more weight and would probably use their front paws for a lot more things like digging, steering the direction they walk and such. I think this goes for both canine and felines, though never payed much attention.... |
I found this thread while searching this topic. My 15 week old Chi's front paws are bigger than his back paws. I never noticed this on my Yorkie or Chi that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Relieved to see others noticed this with their pups. :cool smile: |
My little 6 month Yorkie paws are also a little bigger in front. Back paws smaller. Wonder why? |
