Brrrrrr At what temperature do you usually start putting a coat on your yorkie?? |
I'm not sure at about what temperature, but if it feels cold to me then it is probably cold to them. |
Its in the fifties here and Minnie is wearing her coat. |
i already start putting a coat on mine..its about 0 degrees to 9 degrees depending on the weather. i guess when you start to feel cold, they do too :) |

Thanks for your responses! |
Sissy gets cold really easily, so when the temp gets in the low 60's without sun, she needs something on or she will shiver. |

Seriously though, if it is pretty cold outside and your YOrkie is out, he/she may need a coat or sweater and certainly a good idea if it is raining. BUt some get too warm with a sweater. My Ben would stop moving if he got too hot. I would put my hand under the sweater or coat to see if he was too warm, take it off and see what he would do. IF he continued on, then he was getting too hot. |
it doesnt get very cold here in the south but it was a high of 65 today b/c of a cold front and gracie had a coat |

Coat type will make a difference, a thinner silkier coat or a short hair cut will be different from a thicker soft coated yorkie or one that wasn't cut short. |
