We begged, we whimpered We even crouched down w/ our stub tail wagging and growled our tiny growl and still kitty w/ the grouchy cat look said, "no kid, I ain't playing with you. I don't even know why the people thought we needed you |
TOO FUNNY!! I know my cat says that!! Every now and then the cat looks at me and its like hes saying " remember when it was just me and you Mom,, it was so nice, so quiet" LOL Poor cats! |
ROTFLMAO That’s seems like something my 2 cats say to Cordelia. The other day Belli was licking her paw and cleaning her head, well about that time Cordelia walked by and I swear to god it look like Belli gave Cordelia the hand. :yelrotflm :lol tears :rofl28ib: :grin2: :rollingey :eyetearss |
Trace tries sooooo hard to get the cats to play with him. We have three. They seemed to have finally accepted the fact the dog isn't just here visiting. They don't hide or run away immediately when they see him. They have decided that it's ok if they smell him or see what he's eating, but his status hasn't risen enough to let him reciprocate. Those two cats, who are younger, will probably eventually play with him. They play with our rabbit. Unfortunately, Mr. Grouchy Kitty, (who Trace chose to get to play) doesn't care WHAT he smells like or eats.....he's just crabby..... |
I think my cat Toto, would be a little more receptive if the dog would leave his ears and tail alone,,, I have a sliding glass door an b4 the cat will come in he searches back and forth,,looking to see if he is gonna get attacked... .. So i ususally have to go outside pick him up and carry him in,, and I have to make sure the tail is out of reach,, cause Bailey has latched on to it b4.. the cat Screamed like I have never heard.. I felt so bad,, like Im trying to help him get in,,and that happens! :cat:  :cry8 Poor thing... Why cant we all just get along?? Ive even tried the squirt bottle when Im trying to get the cat inside,, nothing on his mind.... but attacking that cat! :thumbdown |
Luckily my cat has enjoyed having Hefner to play with. The other two dogs were really too big and she was afraid of them. She is frineds with them but she chases the yorkies and lets them chase her. She has her "safety spots" all set for when she needs to escape and go where they can't ge to her. It's fun to watch. |
Long and silly....time for me to go to bed!! From Princess Arnold the cat: (in a very prissy and sophisticated and snobby voice.) "Look Sophia, I know mom likes you a lot, so I am doing my best to tolerate you. That is the best I can do. Tolerate. Not like. Not now, probably not ever. Just stay out of my space, o.k. You aren't that bad...at least you aren't another cat. But hey, I was here first and I OWN this bedroom, so please, I'm trying to ask nicely, stay away from me. When I act like I can't see you, that is a clue that I do NOT, let me repeat, do NOT want to play. Thank you." Here is Sophia's rebuttal: "To Arnold, I promise to try to stay out of your space. I respect you as I can see that mom really likes you a lot. You have the seniority around here, and I won't forget it. But, I really like you and would love to cuddle or play with you someday. Just give it some thought, o.k.?" |

Glad to help! Alex will be 5 in June, so it took a long time. I never thought it would happen either. But even last night she curled up with both of us. She figured sharing is better than not having attention at all. :) Good luck!! :D |
