I just got on and saw where all the help on yt has turned to bashing me,i apologize again for freaking out and submitting too many posts, I am new at this stuff and realize(a little too late) the steps that are needed to start showing and have decided that isn't for me, for now i will just enjoy all my pet quality fur kids and will no longer post, or recommend yorkie talk to anyone that I know this was a big dissapointment to me leaving all day feeling like i got support and help and coming back this evening to bashing and name calling I thought we were all adults here.thank you to the FEW that were kind and helpful, not that anyone cares but Pixie is a sweet girl and i had already planned on keeping her, even though i posted that i was considering placing her. have a nice life:confused:

I'm sorry you feel the way you do. I for one though she a little cutie pie. This is a great site you will learn lots, just hang in there and you will see that's there really nice people on here full of info. :) :)

the people on this site have caused a "friend" of mine to ask me to remove his/her link off of my site, this was very upsetting to me, but I guess I understand, considering this is a bit embarrassing to someone that is trying to make a name for their breeding program. again please accept my apology and for those who know whom I am talking about that person had nothing to do with my accidental breeding, the opinion I had of pixie or anything else related to any of my yorkie business.thank you :(

Awwww please please dont leave. I dont think anyone set out to bash you at all. I think we all just wanted to let you know that she really is quite beautiful and maybe not show quality but beautiful none the less. For as many negative comments I think there were triple the positive ones?? Reconsider your stay...Im sure you will be an asset to this wonderful forum!!

I guess i shouldn't have used the word UGLY didn't realize i was talking to a bunch of sensitive wimps:) not trying to be hateful but i'm not a beat the bush kind of person.that was MY opinion she is an ugly duckling, all i ask for was for people to give me a clue as to what she might turn into, and what kind of coat she had,I had never seen one like it before,I didn't think you guys were gonna nail me to a tree. this isn't what sites like this are supposed to be like, they are supposed to be helpful and informing. thanks to the ones that did what i would have done, thanks for your kindness

I do hope you reconsider your decision about YT. It really is a great place even though there have been some drag out fights on YT but when they would get really nasty, and when that has happened, the administrator would put a stop to it. I've been following this thread and have posted. I can't speak for everyone but apologize if anything I said made you feel that way. I don't think anyone was trying to bash you. From what I've read, everyone thinks she is beautiful for who she is. If she was sold to you as show quality, then you probably got dupped. If you picked her out with the intention of showing her, then it's a lesson learned. We don't always get what we expect but find those to be the best ones in the end. If you really want to show, you need to get a pup from a champion breeder and even then there is a good possibility the pup won't meet up to the show standards. Not even considering her coat, by the sounds of it, she would be too small for the show ring standard. I'm so glad you decided to keep her. There are many of us who would love to have her just the way she is. But then, we aren't concerned about the show ring standards. YT is a great place to learn and one should never be afraid to post their opinion. And as I always say, there are no dumb questions, only dumb answers. Please stick around and talk with us.

First I only saw one person telling you something that you probably didn't want to hear, but she was being truthful to what she thinks, second everyone one here has told you that you have pretty girl & she is.....as for your friend wanting you to remove her from your site, well if she is a breeder at all she should of helped you and gave you some incite to what you were needing to know and as for being friends, she should stick by you no matter what :eek: ...I know all of my friends on here would stick by me no matter what..they might call me a few names and tell me what they think but they would not want to associate with me or anyone else know they do :cry: ...I am sorry that you had to go through all of this...Maybe you can find someone that will mentor you thur your search for a show dog...I think your little girl is pretty...and I am glad your keeping her & I hope you find better friends...:)

First of all I don't show dogs so can't really give an opinion on that, but I think she is actually very pretty. Try supplementing her with an Omega 3 and 6 fatty acid supplement and I bet her coat will be much better.

By the way, I didn't think you were trying to be mean by calling her an ugly duckling. That's the problem with forums like this - they don't know you and cannot hear the inflection in your tone. My "poor" K.C. must really have an inferiority complex because I always call him my stinky boy - meant as a term of endearment, of course!

I didn't see any bashing. I can direct you to a few threads where someone got bashed. Believe me, this was not bashing.

Your were told the same thing over and over and yet you kept on asking the same question. What answer were you looking for?

No one could understand why you were insisting that your dog was ugly when it looked like everyone else's yorkie, and we don't find them ugly.

Also your posts were inconsistant with your website, and your website alone shows inconsistencies.

I can't speak for the others, but I don't like being played for a fool. There are a lot of professional breeders on here and they can spot a phoney when they see one.

Pixie is absolutely adorable and she is very lucky to have you for her mommy. I'm sorry your post went the direction it did, but maybe alot of people, like me, don't have alot of time to spend on YT but are still addicted to it and love it, so they read fast and answer fast and what they are really trying to say gets all "verstutzed" great PA Dutch word that says it perfectly). I don't think anyone intended on "nailing you to a tree" but I think if we didn't "put our feet in our mouths" once in a while, they wouldn't get washed and we'd have some pretty dirty, smelly feet. And nobody wants stinky feet, so we have to "wash" them occasionally. Please stay, I know I would love to see how beautiful Pixie becomes as she grows.:p

i am thankful for th positive comments on Pixie, she is cute. I called her an ugly duckling because of her difference in looks compared to my other 3 and alot i have seen she does have a different look to her, the reason i kept asking the same thing was all i kept getting in response was "she is cute to me" i wasn't asking if everyone thought she was cute I was asking was her different look something anybody else had expierenced, will she change,what toexpect out of her coat, I sould have never mentioned the fact i was interested in learning to show, that's where i made my mistake.my site is unprofessionally puttogether by my 13 yr old son, he might have put some info on there wrong, i will check. I do feel like i was backed into a corner by you, it was really not cool, I understand you may have more expierence than i do,but all i want to do is learn i had a retired show dog when i was little and i got my first(of my own) yorkie 8 1/2 yrs ago that doesn't make me a pro, i am learning everyday. i was just stunned when i got Pixie her coat was so different from my other 3 and all the others i have seen first hand,I took her anyway because she was sweet could you resist her face???? i guess I was just a little disappointed when someone ask me if she was a pure bred yorkie it will kinda get to you when you know you gave the $$$$ for a purebred,and it looks mixed , it doesn't matter now she is a bed warmer for my 9 yrold little girl ( that thinks the world of her):)

I am sorry that you had your feelings hurt. Sometimes people (including myself) can be a little abrupt.
I do hope that if you continue on with the idea of showing/breeding you first find a true "show exhibitor" that will guide you on your way. I do not mean someone who just has a "breeding program". That is the best advise I can give you.

Terms of endearment! We use them all the time. I too did not think you were trying to be mean calling her an ugly duckling. If you remember the story, she turns into a beautiful swan! Our ugly little duckling, Sissy, didn't grow into the beautiful swan but she did grow up to be very pretty, even though her hair is still too short, too thin and she has bat ears. And believe me, she was an ugly pup who looked bald with bat ears. By the way, we still call her our bat girl.

I don't know if I'm missing something or maybe I'm just too tired tonight because for the life of me, I don't know what answer you were expecting to hear. As for your "friend" who asked for their link to be removed from your website due to responses here. She's not much of a friend. Any breeder knows that within the same litter you have a chance of getting a wonderful pet to a show quality pup. But the show quality ones are few and far between. Just because one breeds champions does not guarantee their offspring will also be champions. The odds are much better but certainly no guarantee. We all have to start somewhere.

I was fine with the comments on yt until I got the e-mail from my friend, she has kinda been there for me and taught me a bit i didn't expect her to ditch me like that. sorry i took it out on you and others here.

Check out a Sticky Thread at the beginning of this folder titled: Yorkie Coats, Colors, and Puppy Growth Chart Thread -- there is some excellent information there that may be of interest to you. I learned a lot there. For instance: I saw on your site, you had a litter of puppies with the white blaze on their chests -- I read in that thread it is considered a valued mark as it means there is a great chance of a nice, silky coat. I passed on one puppy due to the white blaze -- I had never seen it before and worried about it. Now I know better.

Perhaps if you asked your friend, what it is about your site that made her ask you to remove her link.

I'm guessing it is 2 things.
1. advertising that you bred your 10 month old puppy, whether it was iintentional or an accident, I would not give that information, (my Ollie is in heat right now too, at 10 months, and to me she is still a puppy, I still feed her puppy food)

2 That you have a stud that you do not feel has the right tempermant for you to use as a stud for yourself, but you will stud him out to others. If he does not hasve a good temperament then you should consider neutering him.

Both of those issues are very unprofessional, and would cause me to not want to buy from you.

If you learned anything from this thread, then at least some good came of it.

Just suck it up and stick around and you will learn. I think you have the desire to learn, and that is what counts.

I responded a few times to you and hope you dont think it was 'bashing' .....It was more like offering alternatives to a yorkie you didn't seem happy with at all.... Kind of like - "you asked - we answered: - which is what this forum does...

As far as your "friend" - they need to go back and lookup the meaning of the word. Maybe it's better you found out about how she treats her friends.....better now than later right ?
