boys??? O.k. so I would like to know what everyone with the little boys do with thier hair. I have searched for "boy" bows and think some I have found are just adorable. Teddy's hair is getting longer now so I need to decide if I will put it up out of his face or get it cut. The bows sound so much cuter...what do you all do with your boys hair??? My hubby and son have balked at even the thought of me putting any kind (even boyish ones) of bows in his hair. Should I ignore them and do it anyway?? What would you do??? Kim and Teddy :aimeeyork |
I have two boys and they have bows in their hair all the time. They are not even boy boys, I just stick to boy colors such a blue and as long as it does not have flowers or anything else girly, they work for me. Some of my family members complain and say they are boys, they shoulden't have boys in their hair. I have to disagree. One of the reasons I was so attracted to the yorkie breed was because of their long beautiful hair. Cutting it off or cutting it short takes away from the special and unique look that I love so much. So my boys have bows. The males in the show rings have bows too, it serves the purpose to keep the hair out of their eyes while yet keeping their beautiful hair long. I couldn't imagine my Scampers not having a bow in his hair and his hair being cut short. I say ignore them and put bows in the hair.;) |

Yep just ignore them! I did, then we trimmed his hair and it was too short for a bow...well now it is growing out and just last night my hubby said "I'll be glad when we can put your hair back up!!":D :aimeeyork :D |
My husband would have a fit. I don't use bows even on Mollie she just won't keep them in. I've never tried on Wyatt. I just keep the hair cut out of their eyes. |
I keep Timmy's hair up in a band...I've tried the bows but he will drag himself all over the place and take it off. So the only time I do put a bow on him is when we're going out. Everyone at home loves it even Daddy!!! |
1 Attachment(s) I keep Chances hair up in a band...I don't really put bows in his hair everyday but I do use them. |
4 Attachment(s) I love yorkies with a long coat - regardless of their gender. Oscar's coat is only halfway to the floor now and I always have his hair up in a knot. He's very good about me putting it in and doesn't fuss with it. I only throw a bow in once in awhile... Here's some pics of my golden boy sporting some of his 'do's...:) |
To each is own but, I don't think I would put a boys hair in a bow...my neighbor has a yorkie boy and she has bangs cut...I think it is soo cute...but, this is JMO |
Ooooh, I'm so glad some of you posted pics! I just love to look at them and would so love to see more little boys pics! I just love Oscar's little face and all his dews (sp?) are great! I love his lottle green bow too! Kim and Teddy :aimeeyork |

I only managed to put a bow in Jaxon's hair once. He didn't like it and neither did my hubbie! I think boyish color bows are ok, or just go with an elastic. I just keep little 'bangs' on Jaxon and think they look cute. |
2 Attachment(s) I also put bows in my boys hair.. I use bands everyday, but when I'm taking them out somewhere I put bows in them.. First is River and then Ty!! |
Starsky's hair just lays back behind his ears quite well. Sometimes it looks like Starsky has a comb over!!! hehe. I have seen some groomers cut them shorter, so they look like they have bangs. |
2 Attachment(s) I have two boys, Sunshine and Stormi. I put bows in their hair when we are going out and on special occasions. |
