Does this sound like a scam
 

I emailed this address I got from the newspaper on Sunday. The response I got back was. :)

I`m giving her out for adoption. She is 2 months currently and akc registered all her shots are up to date The baby is 1.7lbs as at now and expected to weight 5lbs full grown. The price is $500 including shipping I got relocated to west africa recently and could not take care of the baby anymore. I want a great home for her because she is my real baby.
The weather here is not conducive for her that is why I want to get her out as soon as possible and I will be very happy if you will be one to take her as your baby. her name is Lizzy, She is very good with kids and love to play alot this is one of her many characters, I never wanted to sell her but the weather here in West Africa is not helping matter at all. If you are interested kindly get back to me with your shipping Address As soon as posible so that the baby can be on her way to her new home as soon as their shipping arrangement is concluded!
I will be making use of the agent that shipped her into west africa, For there immediate shipping back to the USA. when all terms are settled regarding their adoption. Let me know the amount you can offer for the baby ?

I want to beleive it is true, but my husband brought to my attention all of the miss spelled words and him using God alot. Don't get me wrong God is good, but it is a little to much. Help please:eek: . What do ya'll think about it:confused: :confused:

Yes it a scam alright. Beware!!!!!

I think it says scam all over! When I was looking for my baby there must have been literally about 15-20 that had been "relocated to west africa" and i think they are full of poop! thats my opinion from what I got when I was looking

YES, it sounds like a SCAM !

When I was looking I would find that many of these ads were pretty much all the same. They're putting these ads everywhere now. I didn't know about the newspaper.

I had emailed a few in the past getting pretty much the same response as this. You'd receive an email, poorly written, with the same ole info every time. Just a scam for sure.

I'm sure this is a scam. It sounds just like the ones I delt with when I was looking on puppyfind.com. They will never go with using pay-pal for payment. They will require payment with a money order and will promise shippment to your door. BEWARE STOP SCAMMERS.

Yup! Scam...I got a bunch of replies like this when I was searching for my baby. They all relocated to west africa for charity/religious/environmental work. Good luck with your search!

I saw the same article in our newspaper. I called and reported it. The took it out after checking on it. Scam all the way.

That's exactly what I was thinking as I read this thread!! :p You would think that they would change their story up a bit ... at least another country ... Puleeeeze!!? ;)

Here is my question. What part of the climate in West africa is bad for a yorkie? I have seen on this web site alone every thing from Alaska to Nevada. Those are pretty extreme climates. I think you should leave it alone. If you what a yorkie find one that doesn't have to ship. Who Knows what could happen to the poor puppy flying from that far. As far as the use of God in the ad I think some people use that to gain false trust. I love the Lord But I don't see why they would use it replying to an ad for a puppy. I don't know if it is a scam or not but it sure sounds fishy!!!!

This is definitely a scam......seen it before. Do not get involved with this guy or you will lose your money and most likely there is no dog in his possession anyway. STAY AWAY from this con!:animal-pa :thumbdown

There's no doubt in my mind that this is a scam! Darn those scammers!

Scam, scam, scam...Exactly the same as other stories about relocating, climate, Africa , God bless you etc..
