Does your yorkie go crazy? LOL my dog Kelsey, will go crazy running through the house like a mad woman! She literally is growling and running at lightening speed through the house, hopping on couches, going on the bed, almost like an obstacle course. I was wondering if anyone elses dog does this? I think it's hilarious. I'd love tape her doing it... ;) |
Tristan does that right before he goes to bed. I suppose he's trying to expend the rest of the energy he has? |
That's one of my favorite things. Gus puts his ears down and tail under and runs like a maniac. He also makes a funny noise, he sounds like a little engine. :D |
Our two babies do the same thing too... Ceasar and Cleo do the same thing too...everyday...they chase each other like maniacs...never get tired of doing it...we would make them settle down...they would do so...and once you tell them "okay"...that means they could already get up...they would do the same thing over and over again...endlessly...until they get tired...makes my husband crazy all the time... |
Armaneo does the same thing....and usually before bed. To me, the funniest thing is when he makes little, short growling noises, that go from low to high. They sound as if he is trying to encite you. A lot of the times, he spins really fast in circles, and hops around, and whips his head to try and encite me.....I love it. Also, after he eats and drinks water, he is usually in a crazed mood. He'll rub his face on the carpet and under rugs, and then, if you approach him, he'll start darting around... |
When she was a puppy, yeah. It cracked us up! Nowadays, not so much. |
I love it when yorkies do that! Always makes for a good laugh! Maddie does it quite often and it never fails to amuse me! :) |
loll, yes! Fred does that all the time with a sock in his mouth. Through the rooms, under the tables, over toys and onto couches! :p |
toby does this too..... we live in an apartment but there is no one living below us so it is really no big deal....... but....... he is so darn fast, he is impossible to catch!!!!! |
Oreo & Ginger do this too! it's so cute and funny, mostly Oreo goes nuts though.. when i finally catch him and put him up on our bed, he still goes wild rubbing his nose in the sheets jumping, yapping, nibbling at my hands, and then eventually he gets tired.. scratches at the bed sheets.. and falls into a deep sleep lol.. it's so cute! i have to video tape it someday. |

Luigi does the same thing!!! Runs, and runs and runs. Jumps on the couch bounces off and repeats. We have lots of pillows on the couch too and he flies in and out of those too. He is sooo silly!!!!! He loves to push the pillows on the floor and dig thru them!!!! |
YES, same thing here,, sometime growling, barking the whole time, flipping pillows off the couch and then barking at them like its their fault,, Sometimes he will run around the end table about 20 times ( hes got to get dizzy) I do just watching him! Then sometimes he get so fast and he'll get caught in the lamp cord and drag it across the room,, all scared like its chasing him! Thats when " game over" when the lamp ends up on the floor! LOL |
We call it "Honey goes Nascar" - she has sprinted up to a dozen or so laps around our family room - cracks us up - plus it entertains our guests! |
Prince has a fear of balloons and plastic bags lol. He goes NUTS when they come anywhere near him. He barks and barks then spins in circles. lol |
Biddy goes absolutley bananas! She'll run from one end of the house to the other at full speed. It's hilarious!!! Poor Tucker can't keep up. He doesn't know what to do! |
I thought my dog only did this. Toto runs fast exactly like lightening speed. His ears fly all the way back when he runs. Its so funny. I don't know how he dodges the chairs and tables. He jumps onto the couch runs under the bed running fast. Its so funny. I thought my dog was the only one who does this. |
Haha!!! so much fun to read everyone's stories! I thought my Kelsey was the only one who did this..haha. :animal-sm |
It must be a Yorkie THING! Mine do it too. Soemtimes I am so afraid they will misjudge a corner or a piece of furniture and I shudder to think what might happen at thet speed! It's incredible to behold! Hefner does this at our yorkie meet up too! He just zips from dog to dog to dog and never stops til I make him take a break and get some water! |
shopping with yorkie |
Mine are older but still do it - the best is the 'hyena' run - their little back legs almost beat out their front legs - it's hilarous - I'm in an apartment now also and Cheri will do about 15 laps thru the house before she finally lays down all proud of herself - Chanel looks at her like she lost her mind but she does it too - just not often |
Welcome to the wonderful world of ZOOMIES!!! |
Molly does it too! Especially as her way of greeting me when coming back home from errands/outings, visits from my daughter, grandkids, etc. She bounces, runs around barking in greeting and at times falls out the door. More like rolls out. It's hilarious to see. She does this when playing too. She really looks and sounds funny when she's grabbed one of my socks while running around with it. And, also when she sits/stands and shakes her head rapidly so that the sock is flying back and forth and flopping against the side of her head accompanied by her growls. Now that has me laughing. :yelrotflm :yelrotflm :yelrotflm |
Louis does that too. If we make real loud kissing noises at him, he will put his ears back and off he goes to make his laps around the room. Then he will come over by us, and wait for us to do it again. It is so funny. |

She is the one dog I taught to hi-5 - I'd say gimmie a kiss - and she'd jump straight up in the air and land one on my lips - over and over - It was her one and only claim to fame and she loved showing her 'trick' off no matter who was around......She'd go about 2 feet in the air and never miss ....it was so horrible losing her after losing my husband..... She mourned him terribly and went downhill within just a few months - She had chronic ear infections and developed a severe ear problem - moaned all the time and lost 5 lbs in a month - after 3 vet visits - they told me there wasn't much they could do me even with surgery - there was a very very slim chance she'd be pain free - she was 14-1/2 years old.:( it was the hardest thing to do but with her daddy gone I knew in my heart she'd never be the same and I couldn't let her be in pain. I'll never forget her little hyena runs though - it was my first time ever seeing a dog do that. |
Yup...Mine does that too. He wanted to act all wild and running around like a mad man back and forth and ended up running smack right into a wall. I felt soo bad because he yelped but he was ok. Its good tho because it gets all their energy out so they can sleep well. |
YUP-YUP. Sadie is the same. It looks so funny & is basically our entertainment for the evening. I just don't understand how she avoids running into everything. :2popkorn: |
So we're not the only one's that experience the "what the heck was that blur" phenomenon when you least expect it? |
