Yes I am crazy!!!! I opened up the paper this morning and saw an ad for Morkie puppies...that was fine I closed the paper and went about my morning. I found myself opening up the paper again and again and I picked up the phone and asked the woman on the other end if she would be having any in the spring as I wasnt quite prepared for a new pup just yet. She said well I have some that are 9 days old, I quickly counted back 9 days and realized they were born October 5th..my sons birthday. A sign?? Well now I have to go look ya know!! I was pleasantly suprised that she was only 25 mins from here in a tiny town that I have never heard of (I just moved). When I got to her home I was greeted by the sweetest little man!! A little four pound yorkie. Then I was lead into the kitchen to a white playpen with a adorable Maltese nursing her 2 daughters and 1 son!! I INSTANTLY fell head over heals for the smallest little girl!! I talked this ladies ear off and she mine. I put down my deposit and went home...forgetting to take a picture!! Bad me!! She looks like a newborn yorkie but with some white markings. All the way home I would see big election signs with the name Randy Hope on it...Randy was in tiny letters but HOPE was big and bold and I must have seen 20 on the way home...I have been going through a very rough time in my life and really need a little Hope to get through it...little did I know that I would be getting a little HOPE!! I am nervous, happy and excited all at the same time. Reece is only 15 weeks old and still in training so it will be alot of work to have 3 little one and a big girl too! This all seems a little surreal..and I hope it all pulls together at the end financially...but with a little Hope it should all work out just fine!! Thanks for listening to me!! Dawn |

Thanks everyone..I get a little teary eyed when I think of a new baby...its ALMOST like expecting a real child...I have to keep busy anyhow..so this should be a great experience..I will try and get pictures of her soon!! Dawn |

Congratulations everyone needs alittle Hope in there life, and your not crazy.....Peanut is a morkie he is the oldest at9 and I love him to death....I had the same idea as you when I got Bear, if I put Lexie, Bear, & Peanut & the cats together I would have another big dog like Max, so actually I only have 2 big dogs....:D |
Congratulations on getting a new puppy, she sounds adorable!!! I just have to laugh at the fact that you will have a yorkie, borkie and now a morkie!!! If you are crazy, then I must be insane. I have 5 dogs and will getting two new ones soon!! But if you add them up they only equal to one big dog.:p So I don't think you are crazy at all!! It sounds like it was meant to be. Your story sounds very very very similiar to how I got my Destiny, hence why I named her Destiny, because it was by shear destiny that I got her!!! Oh and you said you will have 4, I know you have a yorkie and a borkie and will be getting a morkie, what is the fourth dog that you already have??? |
Im so excited for you! I want more but I live in a Condo and you're only aloud one dog :( no matter the size as long as they are under 30lbs....someday when I move I will hopefully have at least 3!!! |

I am getting two little maltese girls!! I am so excited and can't wait to bring them home!! I will be getting them around halloween. My oldest is Peppi, she is 8 years old and she is a cocker spaniel and also my biggest weighing in at 26 pounds. I would love to get a golden retriever again someday. Oh and Peppi loves being on my lap too. Do you have pictures of your boykin spaniel?? I don't get to see very many around here. Actually they are hard to find around here. |
2 Attachment(s) I do have a couple pics of her, she is NOT very photogenic though and she always has red eye no matter what!! Here are a couple of her!! I have some really GREAT ones on a kodak CD that I will show you when I find it...Just moved so all my stuff is out of order...BIG TIME...anyhow Sadie is 28 pounds..a little on the small side although she seems like a giant compared to the little ones. She is a sweet as sugar and would never hurt a fly..but if she ever gets loose accidently she is LONG GONE and has to be found and brought home. She was a rescue and spent the first year of her life in a basement. She was a lot of work to train but she is now pretty perfect!! Dawn |
