Please answer my goofy question I hate to ask this question because it seems so silly but I really want to know. My daughter lives in the country with her 12 pound Yorkie who spends a lot of time outside. Sometime back, he got so matted up that my sil decided to shave him. Some places were cut very very close to the skin, almost scalped. When his hair grew back, the color was all spotty. There are places that are black and places that are silver. Its not like a normal color change and he is about 9 years old so his color shouldn't be changing. And its not brindle either. OK for the stupid question. Could cutting him so close have caused a color change? |
I don't know... But I want to know the answer too! Do you have any pics? |
It probably did. Chachi had a skin conditioon where he lost alot of hair on his back. His hair was silver. When that hair came back it was black. So he had black patches in his silver. It has all changed to silver now |
When Zsa Zsa was older , she began to change colors . She had spots of pale grey on her body and white on her muzzle and around her eyes . |
Thank you for your replies. No, I'm sorry I don't have any photos of him. Thanks, Chachi. I really think that happened but can't think why unless the hair follicle was damaged somehow?? |
