New Yorkie In the next several weeks, I am planning on adopting a Yorkie. The litter was born this past weekend, (2) girls and (1) boy. I have decided I want a girl. I have plenty of time to prepare, as I understand it will be (8) weeks before I can take my new baby home. I am the proud Mom of a loving 9-year old female cat who believes she is the "Queen" of the household. I am looking forward to adding a Yorkie to my family, although the Yorkie will have to understand she will be a "Princess" and not the "Queen". I would love as much advice as I can get from other Yorkie owners, and look forward to your input on my expanding family! |

Welcome to YT If shes Like my Daisy she'll get daily baths by the queen and try to give them back LOL we would love to see pictures when you get them ;) |
Welcome to YT and congratulations on your new baby! Would it be possible for the breeder to keep your puppy until she is 12 weeks old? It would be much healthier and safer for the puppy! |
12 Weeks Just so I know, why is it 12 weeks before you should take the new pup. I am used to adopting my cats 6-8 weeks. Why 12 weeks for the Yorkie? |
They go through very important socialization and development form 8 weeks to 12 weeks |
