My 4 week old pups are using the pee pee pads:) I just had to share this:) My puppies stay in a playyard which look just like a playpen only smaller. I have their bedding on one end and the pee pee pads on the other. They get off the bedding and walk to the pee pee pads and do their business and then go get back on their bedding and go back to sleep. I've been noticing that all the poop and pee is on the pee pee pads and not the bedding for the last week or so and last night after I fed them and was getting ready to go to bed, I was standing over the playpen watching them sleep, and I saw one of them wake up, walk over to the pee pee pad and pee, and then he went back to his same spot on the bedding and went back to sleep. I think it's wonderful :) :) :) I didn't know they could learn that so young!! I think the new owners will be pleased:) You don't have to respond, just wanted to share the good news:) I feel like I did when my kids used the toilet for the first time :D |
WOW, that's awesome!! You have some very smart 4 week olds! I would definitely be excited and proud if I were you! :D |
wow thats really awsome! thanks for shareing :D |
Thanks you guys! :) I've been on dogster all morning signing up since I saw your thread this morning browniesmom! Thanks for sharing the site:) It's fun :D |
Way to go, babies.. How large is the play yard? You might see a backslide when they are in a larger area like an X pen or the kitchen, so don't be surprised. They will learn again where the pee area is. |
thats wonderful. my baby is 9 months and still doesn't use the pee pads all the time!! |
Oh Crud whispersmom! I thought I had that potty training licked already :D :D LOL! The playyard is about half the size of a playpen I think. It's a Cadilac playyard with vibration, music and a night light :D At least they are getting off to a good start:) I swear these babies are spoiled already! |
THat is so great. Cosmo is good about using his too. He sees them and just goes over and uses them. When he thinks one has a lot on it he goes to another. he is almost 9 weeks old. He has only had acceidents like 3 or 4 times in two days. He is great. The parents of those little ones are going to be excited. |
That is WONDERFUL! Great news - and it will be good for the new puppy parents as well :D What a good Mommy ;) |
How exciting for you, but more so for the future puppy parents! What a dream it would be to get an already potty trained pooch! |
Go ahead Michelle and just BRAG why dontcha??? LOL That's great about the puppies! |
I know, I know :D Whispersmom politely put me in my place though, LOL! :p |
I'm SO jealous!! Tucker just doesn't get it and he's 4 months! He'll go on the puppy pad, be he also goes on any small rugs in the house (I think he thinks they're puppy pads too??). He goes on the bathmat, the welcome mat & any small rugs :( Any ideas on how I can differentiate these from the puppy pad???? |
I\'d say you have some smart little yorkies there! I\'m truly impressed...you\'re doing such a great job with them! I would\'ve loved it if Maddie had come potty trained! |
I would say they are geniuses.......but I guess I am partial :D |
