I would give the vet a call just to be on the safe side. :aimeeyork |
I didn't know they gave the shots in the neck. My vet always gives them by the hip. He also gives them a rice cookie so they are busy eating that and don't notice the shot as much. I've never noticed a lump. |
Thanks for all of your advice! I spoke with the vet this morning and she said it was probably the microchip rubbing a little for some reason. As its not causing any discomfort to her, she said she will look at it when her boosters come round, unless it gets bigger, painful in the mean time. I also found out that she has won pet plan vet of the year! We have been going to Mrs Lucas for years, and when I was in St. Johns ambulance brigade when I was about 10, she taught us basic veterinary stuff! Go Mrs Lucas!!! http://www.petplan.co.uk/Vetawards/p...vet_awards.asp |
Ok it got bigger so we took her to the vet today, just got back. Vet checked, its not her microchip, she doesnt think it is a cyst or a fatty lump so that just leaves a skin tumor, although they dont know the nature of it obv. Little madam is going in next wed to have it removed and it will be sent off for analysis so we can tell what it is. Poor Lucy :( |
Ahhhhh...poor little sweetie! I\'ll say a prayer for her that it isn\'t anything serious! I was so hoping it would be the microchip! Best wishes! |
Thank you! Im praying that it is just a tumor and nothing else, poor thing being prodded and poked by the vet! I have the biggest scratches all over!! |
Sorry to hear about Lucy\'s tumor. I am sure she will be just fine. We will hope for the very best next Wednesday. |
