sashajade | 10-09-2006 01:27 PM | i think sometimes it is to do with how they are brought up but also i do think sometimes and most of the time it is just the dogs personality. yorkies have little dog syndome sometimes and will make up for what they lack in size by useing there teeth. when i had scampi, sasha, tye and zac they were all brought up the same trained the same treated the same but they were all different dogs, tye and zac who i still have are scampi and sashas pups and are so silly around people, kids and dogs and zac has a cat fetish were if he sees a cat he just wants to love it even if the cat doesnt want loving:D but scampi and sasha were different, sasha would bite people she didnt like and dogs, some she would be fine with. scampi well what can i say about him? well his fav thing was fighting and biting, he liked most women but didnt like a lot of men and would protect me, he would bite them if they came anywhere near me. he hated male dogs and ive lost count how many fights he got in to with my dads dog who was 4 times his size but scampi always came out better than my dads dog. i didnt teach scampi to be this way it was just him his personality, he loved me to bits and never would of dreamed of biting me, he was so clever and i could teach him anything, i only tryed 3 times of showing him to play dead and he done it, he learnt how to give paw by watching my brothers dog, and he was house trained within 2 or 3 days, he was a clever dog but he would not stop biting other dogs or men he didnt trust and i excepted that it was just him and still loved him to bits but i did not let him get anywhere near other peoples dogs as i knew he would bite them and i never let him near men he didnt know so those people shouldnt of let there dog near your one. tye zac and annie who i have now are fine with other dogs but brandi is scared of them as i think b4 we got her she was a stray and got bit by a dog so she will growl for a bit then play. if you look up about yorkies they are well known for being yappy and biting other dogs and people and i would say that a lot of yorkies are like that but as an owner its up to us to not let them hurt another dog and the owners were wrong. |
