I'm going to get some steps for our new little guy, he can make it on the couch, but he has to try pretty hard and that can't be good for those little legs. Anyone know where I can find a stylish steps?

www.bestpetramp.com has REALLY nice stuff. I have a set of stairs from them and they're absolutely gorgeous.

I have actually been looking at those in the largest size they have. Are they easy for your yorkie to get up and down, I mean are the steps too steep or ok? Are they heavy to move around? Is the back of the steps open ?

I got TJ and Roxy a foam ramp and then I covered it in fabric.

GREAT DEAL ($18)
It is VERY STURDY! I Highly recommend this foam ramp!

I'm so glad I read your post before I posted LOL I was going to say the same thing! I am going to make one but, don't have ANY idea where I can find a block of foam...I am going to cover it with sherpa so that I can take it off and wash it...

My two get up and down them very easily. They have never fell off of them or anything. They are some what heavy, I would say. Maybe 15-20 lbs? I don't really move them around so I'm not sure. The back is carpeted except at the bottom there is about 2 inches so you can pick them up more easily. I have them on hardwood floors and they are nice because they don't move around at all.

i know thats great.. good thinking girlfriend. i took the easy way out, i just have a crate in my room and on top of the crate is a towel... looks horrible, but i dont care... i have a black carpet in my room , crate is black and towel is
white so she can see at night.. she doesnt need any to get up on the couch

This foam ramp is really outstanding! I covered it first with 'plastic' fabric (or you can you a shower curtain) This is JUST IN CASE - TJ my little pee bugger decided to MARK the NEW ADDITION... then I covered it with fabric. I actually used a "T" type of thick pin to hold down the platic & fabric. They work GREAT!!! I also, made a 'runner' down the center and also the bottom for any slipping! The runner is the foam like stuff that is used for cabinet or draw lining. I can take a picture if you'd like?

I would have never thought of a foam ramp and covering it - fantastic idea - easy on the babies, easy on the floors, and easy to move if you need to.

I'm going to get some right away!

There is an adorable little set of pet steps in this month's issue of petedge. They have the cutest furniture to go with them...little scaled down versions of beds with head and foot boards...little wardrobes to hang their clothes in.
