A few questions...how big is he? Did the diareha just start? Have you changed foods and/or did he get into something he wasn't supppose to. Does he get Nutrical? |

oh yea he also get nutrical! |
It could be having such a change in diet, many dogs do not tolerate that well at all. Also I suspect at 3 months he should still be on a puppy food, as their stomachs cannot usually handle all the crude proteins of adult food. However, in a puppy parasites like Coccidhia and Giardhia are pretty common so if it continues I would take him and a stool sample to your vet. Also make sure he is getting enough water to stay hydrated! GOOD LUCK, Bruce and I hope he feels better soon! |
Boiled chicken and rice or boiled hamburger and rice are what my vet has told me to feed Maddie when she gets diarrhea. I sure hope Wyatt is feeling better soon! It may have been from the change in diet. Yorkies can have such sensitive tummy's...when changing food, add new to the old and gradually put more of the new stuff in with the old. |
My pup had loose stools at the beginning, for no apparent reason. He had 4-5 normal BMs and then a loose one. The vet didn't find worms but dewormed him anyway. Needless to say it got normal on its own a little later. Oh I was switching his food too to Nutro Puppy from BilJac. He's been okay for at least a month now. Maybe it's a puppy thing?? |
instant rice made with chicken broth instead of water whenever Miko has tummy troubles, we give her nothing but rice made with chicken broth. once she seems to be feeling better, we mix her food with the same rice (actually we do that regularly) we feed her nutromax adult food (lamb and salmon recipe) and it's very rich. it's great stuff, but since it is so rich, the rice seems to help ease her tummy. she has to eat canned food to eat enough and not lose weight. best of luck!!! :aimeeyork |
