Teeth!! I could really use some help! The other day my husband saw Diesel's canine teeth (the really long ones) and said they weren't right. He doens't just have one canine on both sides but 2 !! I brush his canines and have never really thought about it. One doesn't really look like a baby and they don't look bad. This is the first Yorkie I have ever had and I really thought they were ok. All of his other baby teeth have fallen out. These teeth aren't even loose! So please tell me this is normal!!! If it isn't then what would cause this!!! |
He hasn't lost his baby teeth. Some dogs have no problem, and some have to have them surgically removed. If you are going to get him neutered, that will be the best time to take out the teeth. Both of my pups lost theirs with tug play. My mom's dogs didn't loose theirs naturally. They really should be removed if they don't fall out on their own. Kim |
:goodpost: Also, make sure he has plenty of things to encourage chewing like Bully Sticks and Kong toys. It helps loosen the teeth up. |
Well I was waondering! Those are the only ones left. They are sore and they don't even seem to hurt him at all! He will be 15 months old soon and I just never thought about it tho be honest. Now for another question... What is the best way to put him under? What kind of sedation should be used on him.Man I really hate this. I hate the idea of him going under!! He is just barely 5 pounds.... thanks for the help! |
