Chopstix, asked at my vets office today This might be same thing that we already know, but here goes. That was the first thing I asked at Venus's checkup and shots today. My vet and Chopsix vet work together here in Mobile, AL. All the techs knew exactly who I was talking bout! Techs I'd never seen popped out of nowhere! One said she was doing well enough, didn't need that last surgery. She also said, anyway there wasn't enough bone left to work with. I wanted to donate, since its the "good" time of the month for me, but they said I'd have to donate through Petfinder.com. They knew Lauren (chopstix mommy for the time being) well at my vets office, and said she does a lot of rescue here in Mobile. Said the person that dropped off Chopstix, said someone threw her out of a car window, and drove off. Sick sob's! So any of you that think this is a scam, its definitely not! Heard it first had from my vets office. Wish I had more info to offer. Now those of you who sent checks to Dr Bentley's office, his other office is in a suburb of Mobile County, in Eightmile AL. But they don't want any more money comeing there. Said get in touch with Lauren. |

You know, really sucks to have people like that in this world. Especially in my OWN city. We had an incident last week, in one county over about a man had a pony tied to his truck, and forgot (what kinda dumba$$?) and drove down the road.. With the reaction to that one, after being on the news all week....don't think it'll be long here before things get lot tougher on folks like that. God I hope so!! I know in another post, someone had wondered if Chopstix was a hoax. Well, if she is, EVERYONE in my vets office is in on it, lol. They even said they'd had phone calls and were wondering where they came from. I didn't tell them, I'd figured out Dr Bentley was in that office, and said something here about my vet and chopstix vet being in the same offices. :D Suppose someone looked up my vet, or am I paranoid?? I feel there will be a better future for Chopstix. God wouldn't have let this poor pup live this long if there wasn't a good furture for him/her (?). |
Thank you for sharing that - I've wondered how she was and that's just horrible what happened to that poor baby - but good to know how many people stepped up and got her the money she needed for the surgery....I hope that person falls out their own window someday:mad: |
