Bella It has been some time cannot remember when I last posted...Bella's test finally came back it appears she has a liver shunt vet says it is small and has her on a special diet so far he says no surgery. Her symptoms diarrhea and vomiting she has always been a picky eater. She is doing fine at this point is back to her normal bouncy shelf. Any thoughts or advice are welcome she is a very pretty girl everyone that comes in contact with her says she is a very special yorkie. I will try and post some pictures of her during to her illness we shaved her because of matting during her down time she had some hair loss? I have been reading info on the internet not sure what to do. KB:confused: |
I'm sorry she has a shunt. I hope that she can live well without ever having to have any surgery. I know there has been a lot posted recently in the Sick and Injured section. If you do a search for liver shunt, you'll find lots of info. I don't have any experience or knowledge about them. I can't wait to see pictures of her. |
What test was used to diagnose it as a liver shunt? Here's a good link to read. http://www.geocities.com/class_act_k...ver_shunt.html |

Ohhh hun, I hope all goes well with Bella. I hhad a possible liver shunt scare with my Bella too, but they said to wait until she is 2 yrs old to do anything about it because I guess that is when the symptoms would show up and he didnt think it was necessary to do anymore testing. Good luck. My prayers are with you and little Bella.:hands: :hands: :hands: :hands: :hands: :hands: :hands: :hands: :hands: :hands: |
I am so sorry to read this. Thankfully she has a wonderful mommy. God bless and will be praying for Bella. |
