Is it ok to change foods so often??? Hello, I am a new yorkie owner and I was just wondering if its bad to change there food for example from one day to the next?? I have a 9 wk old puppy who has been itchy a lot so I did research and found he might be allergic to corn products in the food so I changed his food from Purina ProPlan to the Solid Gold for puppies and he doesnt like it and the people at the health store suggested i get the Solid Gold Wee bits for small breed adult dogs...she said it had all the nutrience that puppy food has so that it would be good.....Any advice???Please Help!!! |
when changing food please do it slowly, add a llittle of the new each day untill they get use to it. |

I'd see what Solid Gold had to say about it. Here is their contact information... For general and nutritional information, comments, or questions: dane@solidgoldhealth.com Phone: 1800 364 4863 |
Thank you so much you are a life saver... I will call them asap.... |
Some foods are listed as "all life stages" and are appropriate for puppies and adults. Maybe that is what they meant. Plus, not all puppies need puppy food and some older dogs need puppy food - so it's always good to check with your vet and/or trainer if you have one. I take my trainer's advice on nutrition over my vet's since the vet recommends Eukanuba... Calling the company is a great idea - Solid gold is a great food. |
