African Yorkies? I was looking in the online classifieds, and I e-mailed a few of the individuals selling puppies. Two individuals have replied back to e-mails regarding the puppies. They happen to be in Africa, one couple is in Nigeria, and the couple is in douala cameroon. I was just wondering if anyone here has purchased yorkies from Africa or any other foreign country? |
I would be suspicious, simply because there are so many scams coming out of Africa of late, mostly with fake lotteries and fake inheritances, but they've been branching out to other ways to rip off people. It's big business in many developing countries. Besides, think of how difficult it would be to import an animal from another country--all of the arrangements that would have to be made, if they can be made at all! I'd be very suspicious, and wouldn't consider buying from them. |

More Replies I just received two more replies about the yorkie puppies in the classifieds. The other two puppies are also in Africa, one is in Cameroon, and the other is in West Africa. Each reply consisted of some elaborate story on how and why the puppies were in Africa, and how they would love for the puppy to find a good home, and how easily and quickly I could have the puppy in my home. :thumbdown |
There have been dozens and dozens of posts here on YT about the scams coming out of Africa...... These scams have been going on for so long - a lot of people must be falling for them. Carol Jean |

Run Away As Fast As You Can |
CAN WE SAY ~SCAM~ Yes, it can happen here in the states as well... but in Africa... you can basically count on it . RUN RUN RUN |
My question: if a particular bloodline is not important to you, why should you buy a puppy from Africa, anyway? There are so many nice puppies here in the States. :) I would only suggest to buy a puppy out the Country if that kennel name is very well known (meaning a name that has been involved in the show ring so has a reputation to maintain!! |
Goodness yes............it's a scam! |
You want to throw them off??? Tell them you have a trip planned to Africa and are leaving tomorrow and you'll just pick the pup up. You can disturb them even more by asking if the parents are on the premises. They will tell you yes and email you photos of show dogs. Another way to throw them off is to then say that you'd like a picture of the puppy WITH the parents. Trust me, no doubt about it......SCAM!!!!!!!!!!! |
