Good yorkie book to recommend I bought a book called "The Yorkshire Terrier" by Deborah Wood. I've found it to be very informative and interesting, even goes back through the history of the yorkie. It has lots of good training tips which I've tried, and they have worked really well. It also comes with a training DVD, but I haven't looked at that yet. Just thought I'd let everyone know in case you're looking for a good yorkie book. I've ordered "Yorkshire Terriers for Dummies" and should get that one this week.:) Here's a link where you can read about the book. http://www.powells.com/biblio?isbn=0793836441 |
Hmmm I don't have that book I'll have to check it out! I do have a few yorkie books though, "Living With a Yorkie", by Richard Haynes "The Complete Idiots Guide to Yorkshire Terriers" by Liz Palika "The Yorkshire Terrier" by Marion Lane and "A Kennel Club Book Yorkshire Terrier" by Rachel Keyes. I also have the Little Pooch books for training and dressing small dogs. OK I must admit I have a weakness for books and magazines, speaking of magazines ...... I get several of those too! :embarasse |
Ill have to check that one out!! I got the yorkies for dummies book and I love it. I still look back at it for reference:thumbup: |
Have you ever purchased those books that come with doggie treats recipies? Saw a couple of them at a bookstore the other day... Just looking fo something to do for those long winter nights ahead... brrrrrr. |
I have Yorkshire Terriers for Dummies and I like it. It contains useful information about grooming, health issues, training, ect. The only thing I don't like is that there are a few chapters about how to select a Yorkie, who to get it from, how to get ready for the arrival, things that I don't need now because I already got it! |
