Yorkie Scammers are now using relay system! They called me tonight! Today when I was preparing dinner my husband handed me the phone and told me that it was a teletype email service for the deaf. I am currently trying to find a home for Brandy and so I figured that it was someone deaf, which made me feel sorry for the person and think this might have been a good home for her. I know that yorkies can be therapeutic dogs. Basically teletype is a free service provided by our tax dollars so that the deaf can use email to make phone calls. Basically they type it, then the teletyper calls me. Scammers are now using this service to make free international calls! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/ID/4781806/ Anyways, there was some confusion at first because I asked if he has any questions about Brandy. Then he asked me if I had any questions. I asked him where he is from. He said Michigan and that he had a FREE yorkie and he saw my ad! Obviously he had translated my ad wrong! I told the typer that I KNOW that scam and I know that he will want me to western union the money and I will never see a yorkie or my money again. Then I said that I know he's probably located in Nigeria. Then the teletyper told me that he disconnected. I tried to talk to the teletyper about it, but he kept saying that he's not allowed to get involved in our conversations and he's just the go-between! Then he hung up on me. My tax dollars are funding this! Anyways, if I wasn't getting ready to move tomorrow and working on dinner I would have messed with the guy longer. PLEASE be careful about this! I have NEVER heard of them calling people like this. I am APPAULED that they are allowed to use this wonderful service on something so horrible. It is so immoral. Maybe the government needs to have legally deaf people register before using this service to get the scammers off of it. It's a wonderful service that shouldn't be abused. I am AMAZED that right now my tax dollars are funding these scammers! |
Thats terrible! |
hey i'm right up the road from dothan al where that bridal shop man is at! scammers are filth and should be all packed into one tiny jail cell . i really hope nobody falls for this! |
Oh that's terrible. Do they never give up? |
You say you are trying to find a home for your yorkie? |
Unbelievable :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown |
Are you trying to find a home for your yorkie?????? |
You know this same thing happen to me at work...I work at a glass shop and this tele deal called me and wanted 100 pieces of glass and wanted it shipped to somewhere? Far Away? and come to find out the guy had given me a stolen credit card # that I didn't run...and they can't even find out where the person is calling from or anything....Then about a month later my father owns his own glass company and he got a call from one of the tele deals...and the customer suposivly wanted 12 windshields of the same kind and my step father ran a card for 2000.00 and I told him what had happened to me and we ended up calling the credit card company and telling them about it and the lady told me that this has been going on for about 7 months now and not to believe anything that these ppl are trying to buy, sell ot anything else...It is such a scam....and it is an awful thing to do...Specially to my father...You know he just started this business and he thought that he was going to be making good money and it was already going to his checking account and then I turn around and try to explain to him that is was just a scam to call the credit card company and let them know what he did...And tell them to take the amount back off his account...So terrible! Awwful thing to do to ppl.....and you know ...they really don't even benifit from this...Just a good laugh.. |
How pathetic can people get. Why don't they just go get a real life and leave us alone!   |
And tell them to take the amount back off his account...So terrible! Awful thing to do to ppl.....and you know ...they really don't even benifit from this...Just a good laugh..[/QUOTE] Exactly, but now they are doing tying into the yorkie/western union scam! But they CAN gain money out of this one. The guy was trying to get me to pay the shipping on a "free" yorkie from Michigan. They do this because the service is free (international calls are expensive), to get your $$ from western union, because they have a bad accent, and to gain your sympathy. I just feel bad for anyone who posts anywhere their phone number saying that they want a yorkie because they will probably get a phone call from one of these scammers using the teletype system. It absolutely DISCUSTS me that people would use such a wonderful system for the handicapped for this and NOTHING can be done about it! I can tell the guy reading the teletype to me was irritated, he knew it was a scam and someone taking advantage of it, wasting his time, but there was nothing he could do! Everytime I asked him a question he said that he wasn't allowed to get involved in the conversations because he took an oath. And yes, I'm still trying to find Brandy a new home. |
This is ridiculous! They will try anything! |
So exactly why are you trying to find Brandy a home? Whats going on? I want another yorkie but I am soooooo afraid to get another one because my lil Tiny man is sooooo protective of me...And of course my BF says that 1 is 1 tooooo many...LoL...He loves Tiny to death though...He just won't give in and let me get another one...Maybe he's waiting for Christmas...That would be a great surprise... |
They just keep stooping lower and lower....... |
 Thos no good SCAMMERS! I could just break their fingers off and pull their tongues out! Makes me furious! And to think that they are using a service paid for by our tax dollars to scam trusting Americans....then they think it's funny! Makes me boiling mad! |
Possibly you can post here for a "forever home" for Brandy ? Someone must know of someone that would like a yorkie. |
