About me and my yorkie (who died on Thursday) :(
 
Well let me start off saying hello and that i'm glad to be here on this site. My yorkie's name was Rocky and he was so sweet. I loved him dearly.....I had a nightmare on thursday night around 8:45 when my little baby ran in the street and was killed. I'm pretty sure he was hit in the head............I only had him for close to seven months but i loved him with all my heart.............I'm don't know if i'm ready for a new dog yet because i'm still in shock from losing rocky but i will be eventually.................:aimeeyork

Oh, gosh! I'm so very sorry. He was a cutie. I'm sure you are still in shock and you'll be hurting for a long time yet. I'm sure eventually you will want another one. They help you heal your broken heart and add a little laughter where the tears were once. Again, I'm so sorry you lost your beloved Rocky.:(

The Rainbow Bridge


There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.

There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes are staring! And this one suddenly runs from the group!

You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never to be separated.

Welcome to YT. You'll find a lot of understanding people here because we all have one thing in common...loving our yorkies. It breaks my heart that you lost your sweet Rocky and I am so sorry for you. *HUG* I hope someday you will find another yorkie to love and I know he/she wouldn't make you forget Rocky, but would help you through the grief of losing Rocky. I'm so sorry for the sadness you are dealing with.

I was in your shoes at Christmas when our 7 month old cocker was hit by a car...it was soooo sad!! We were very heartbroken and cried all the time. I carried pictures of Moocho EVERYWHERE with me and could not get over him!! In March we decided it was time to heal our hearts a bit and we adopted sweet Darla and 2 weeks ago we adopted Reece!! Its very hard to deal with the loss of a dear pet no matter what age and when the time is right to get another you will know!! HUGE HUGS!!

So sorry for your loss. I know that this way is very sad as you may feel to blame yourself. Please don't do that. Sometimes we just don't know why things happen. We just need to accept, grieve, and move on. Best of luck to you. Again, my condolences.

I am so sorry for your loss. You have found a wonderful place, with AWESOME people to help you through this rough time.

I found this place after loosing our beloved Dexter 9 week ago today. It helps to have people understand and help you in this difficult time.

I am so sorry, I also had a dream the night before I lost my precious Raisin. If it were not for the fact I was doing everything in my power to keep her safe that very next day, I might have saved her, though somehow it was meant to be. I still can’t understand it, but know it will always haunt me.

I know how heartbroken you must be, but it will take a lot of time to heal your heart. I will pray that it goes quickly! Hugs and prayers

It doesn't matter how long you have had a yorkie. They burrough into your heart within a few minutes of holding them. I'm so sorry for your loss. Please take comfort in knowing that the people on this site care about each other and you are one of us.
