Yorkie Treats? Does anyone have a suggestion on what type of treats to feed my Yorkie? He just does not like anything so the treat trick isn't working for me. I've tried the dried liver (my other dogs INHALED these) treats, soft chewy type of treats, even KITTY CAT treats! He doesn't like anything. What's up with that???? |
for tricks i use cheerios for treats.. just for a snack, little milk bones |
I actually make them. I have had a couple ppl on here say their dogs are very picky but they ate mine! :D :D |
For training I cut up tiny little pieces of hard cheese... she never had a problem with that small amount of dairy, and it really got her attention. |
Homemade treats? Would you share your recipe??? |
I homemake 99% of my kid's treats, but now I am going to give ytsirk27 a try. The treats I make are teeny tiny crunchy liver treats that my guys inhale. I would recommend giving her a try, Everyone is raving over her products! |

Where do you buy them at, I've never heard of them? I made him some homemade ones he nibbles at those at least (dry milk, wheat germ, baby food and honey). |
Hallie is a picky treat eater and she loves yogurt drops (Petsmart sells them). I also get them some turkey at the deli and break it up into little pieces. |
ok Peeka will do anything for these trats at Petsmart they are called Training Reward by pet botanics and they are liver flavoe they are tiny and soft so you can break them up. they are the best i found and only $1.99 |
I give both of mine plain cheerios. I use to give kizzy honey nut cheerios caused her to have upset stomach so did cheese bites. when I got maggie she wouldnt eat the cheerios, now she love them too. I also give them some treats I ordered from petsmart that are live, cheese and beef flavors. so they get a little variety with those. Once in a while i'll give them one small milkbone each but those are different flavors too. But mostly mine get cheerios and both of them now love them. I can call and say come on if you wanna lil bite. I dont even have to say bite of cheerios, and they both come flying, no matter what their doing usually. goodluck on finding something they'll eat. But I switch up along but only once in a while. maybe once a week i give them a few of the t shaped treats and once a month a milkbone. Rest of the time its cheerios. |
Any kind of cheese gets Gracie's attention every time. The next best thing is cat food- wet or dry. |
I'm sorry. I didnt say the name of the treats I got at petsmart. their called training treats and their shaped like the letter T and theirs 3 flavors liver, cheese, and beef. |

Solid Gold is a brand of pet foods, natural products. Probably could find them online, also in really top-notch pet stores. I get mine from Bev Hills (BelAir, CA) from a store called Pets of BelAir. Tomorrow I will look on the pkg and try to find a ph #....They cost about $17 a bag at P.O.B. Well worth it. |
Treats ... get them at PETCO Monday simply loves the animal crackers from Petco .... and she is fussy! I even have to smash her California Natural Dry Food b/c the pellets are too big ... so I also smash in some animal crackers .... when shez downstairs and I want her to come up, I simply say, "Want a cookie treat?" Works all the time ... they are sold like at a salad bar and cost $3.99 a pound! She eats the animal crackers no matter what size I give her. Debbie |
chester loves solid gold turkey jerky treats they are pretty soft, and buddy biscuits they are small and hard and have several different flavors, and they have no corn or wheat or any by-products both are good. |
Meeko will do just about anything for a carrot. He also really enjoys the new Hip Chips by Greenies. He especially likes the BBQ Chicken favor ones. |
Both my boys love the Pampered Pet treats. I've tried the oatmeal/honey, and cheese/bacon. So far they like both. They have no preservatives and use human grade ingredients. I get them from Foster & Smith. |
All 3 of mine love the chicken jerky made from real chicken breast. They won't eat any other treats I give them since I found the chicken jerky. I buy it at walmart. |

If you type in solid gold pet foods into your search engine, different store sites will come up that carry these treats. My babies like the Lamb Tiny Tot Treats. They are actually made in El Cajon, CA at a Hoilistic Food/Nutrition Center................GREAT TREATS |
