*#$*& Dog!!! What is it with this dog and my kitchen table? So I come home today and he's peed on my daughter's school papers that need to be signed and returned tomorrow that were on my table!!! |
I'm sorry, I know you're probably not in the mood for humor, but I had to laugh because of the age old excuse "my dog ate my homework". I guess the teacher wouldn't believe the "my dog peed on my homework" excuse.:D Seriously though, have you tried spraying a little "bitter apple" on the table to hopefully discourage him from getting up there? Good luck to you! |
Well, if it makes you feel any better, the cat once threw up on a major art project I had on the table! :p Peeing on the table though....that does seem a little odd! ?? |
I'd be more worried about the kitchen table then the homework! LOL...does he get up there himself??? |

I tell ya, these little guys are sneaky.......and FAST!!!:D |
I had to use the my cat ate something excuse before at my Yorkie club meeting last month. She really did lol |
huh! How in the devil did he get up on the table??? I'm always so worried about Lillie jumping, she is so tiny, now I'm really worried! Was the chair pulled out so he could jump on the chair, then to the table?? |
Kizzy can jump really high for her size. People tell me all time, wow she can jump awful high. So she tried to jump from flat on the floor upon my table once and my floors are slick and when she came down and her feet scooted right out from under her and she really hit the floor hard. But one night after supper hubby looked up and she was right in the middle of our table trying to get our left over food as we had just walked out and i hadnt yet made his lunch from it. So in the garbabe that went. but she got up there from jumping in a pulled out chair so now i try to always keep my chairs pushed under the table. But she hasnt tried it again. So, anything can happen. |

I'll make sure I always keep my chairs pushed under the table when he gets bigger.:D |
Maggie is scared when you put her on something high. she will even stand and shake, I was surprised when she learned to go up and down our steps so fast. she still looks like her butts gonna go right over her head going down on each step. she so cute and funny. |
He's part rabbit and kangaroo. ;) my kid left the chair out after doing homework and ... boing boing he's up on the table. He can even jump my baby gate. :( |
Is he crate trained? I think for his safety and the safety of some of your important stuff it might be better to put him in the crate when you're not home or no one is available to watch him. Good luck. |
I've never put him in a crate, he's pretty good. Trouble was he houdini'd out of his belly band...which seems to be a trick he learned this past week. Today was just a busy day and I didn't give him the attention he needed. Also we know to push chairs in. Usually he hits the pad in the laundry room. |

I\'m always telling Daisy, "You\'re not a cat...Get down" lol she jumps up onto the kitchen chairs then up onto the table too. ARGH Penny |
I understand your frustration. My cat used to jump on the table and at times on the stove. I got really scared due to never knowing if it was on or not! The vet told me to spray them with vinegar solution. I have tried the apple cider vinegar I use for cooking and sure enough. When he jump on the chair he starts sniffing the table top and doesn\'t like the smell. Good luck |
