Ignorant Yorkie Owners?
 

I just came from the Vet. earlier this afternoon, I had taken both Artie & Abigail and the 3 Puppies got their tails docked & dewclaws removed.
As I was checking out my b/f went ahead to put the Puppies in the Car.
I had both Artie & Abigail on a Leash and a Woman behind me w/2 other Yorkie's (1 in a bag) and her other on her Leash. Both of hers had undocked long tails and their ears were floppy. Some one else asked her "What kind of Dogs were they? She replied "Oh they are Tara Daniels Yorkshire Terriers"?
As if they were a certain Designer Brand Yorkshire Terrier? And she proceeded to comment that "They are a different kind of Yorkie" and "I don't know what kind of Yorkie's she's got"? And then she leaned foreward and asked me......"What kind of Yorkie's are those"? I replied in an odd confused tone of voice "I have Yorkshire Terriers that's the only kind of Yorkie's I know of"? I thought to myself just b/c both of mine are Gold/Silver and not Black/Tan doesn't mean that they are NOT Yorkie's and how ignorant of you being a fellow Yorkie Owner, not to know that?:confused:
But I had already dealt w/the ordeal of being there for an hour and a half,
enduring the chaos of total strangers and their unsocialized babies!
I was in no mood to get into an "Intellectual Lecture" with an Ignorant (w/c is a kind word for her) Total Stranger? I fumbled around and thought about it for a minute.......and I decided to get the heck out of there so I could rush home to relax and report/vent to YT.:aimeeyork

Wow i will say i haven't heard of that type of yorkie LOL i'm sorry you had a bad experiance today people are just dumb sometimes!

WOW! Sounds like she was thinking because her dogs tails weren't docked and had floppy ears, that makes them a special breed............hmmm i will have to investigate this now i am curious! LOL!;)

She was probably jealous cause yours were pretty yorkies.....there are so people that are just not bright....:rolleyes:

I probably would have said I have a JACK Daniels Yorkie....Ummmmm Ummmmm - they look GREAT next to the Coke Can

I would have just told her your have BREED STANDARD Yorkies and have never in your life heard of Tara Daniels...and casually asked what kind of mix she breeds for

NO offense to any mixes out there ! GOT IT ????? :p :p

ok i was looking this up and found nothing on this "special breed" of yorkies, do you suppose she got these yorkies from a person named Tara and now she thinks this is the breed of yorkie??? People are so uneducated at times.....:confused:

LOL i won't drown my pain LOL i just had to respond to that. I'm sitting here trying my hardest not to laugh at that and the harder i try the harder it is so i'm sitting here going giggle giggle ouch LOL.

I, for one, have a Dom Perignon Yorkie; the female pups are $6,000 and the males $5,000. Anyone who would like one and might also be interested in some swampland in Arizona, just PM me.

PS - Silver/gold Yorkies are MY FAVORITE!!!

I think it's cute to see the occasional yorkie with its tail, and floppy ears are cute, but I'm really a snob about yorkies with ungroomed ears!!!! I'm so used to seeing all the crisply tipped ears here at YT, and it just irks me when I see (esp. on a breeder's site!) yorkies whose ears are all floppy probably just b/c the hair on them has been allowed to run amuck! :p

Okay...I sorta went off on my own tangent there! :p "Tara Daniels" yorkies....people can be so pretentious....and ignorant!!! "I don't KNOW what kind of yorkies HERS are..." BROTHER!

Wow i can't wait for the Gucci Yorkies, and Versace Yorkies, Viera Wang Yorkies and can't leave my own behind the Ruby Cupcake/Cesar Yorkies . That lady sure has a unique kind of yorkies.:yelrotflm
