Hobbs ran away this weekend Well, we went to visit my parents this weekend and of course we took Hootie & Hobbs with us. They have a fenced-in backyard so it is very convenient to just let the dogs out the backdoor whenever they need to go potty. Well, on Sunday, we let Hootie & Hobbs out to potty and after a few minutes of being in the backyard, Hootie comes running back to the door to be let back in. I open the door to let Hootie in, but there's no sign of Hobbs. I was absolutely freaking out!   All I kept thinking about was all the poor little babies on YT that have run off and been gone for days or not found at all. :( :( :( After searching the backyard and house over about 100 times, my family and I started canvasing the neighborhood. In the meantime, my hubby just happened to glance over the fence in the backyard to look into the neighbor's yard. Somehow Hobbs had slid under the fence and gone into the neighbor's yard to play with their labrador! My hubby said he couldn't help but laugh. Hobbs was running around the lab in circles just barking at the labrador and the lab was just sitting there staring at him. I'm just glad we found him and that he was only in the neighbor's yard and that the neighbor's dog was not ferocious! He is such a silly little man. |
I am so glad you found him. I bet you were scared to death I know I would be. Hobbs just wanted to go over and visit the neighbors |
What a silly little hobbly bear he is. How cute, he was chasing the lab. You're lucky the lab was docile and friendly..Glad he's home. Now give him and Hobbs a little tooshie kiss for me :D |
I know from experince, that can be the most horrible feeling in the world, to think your baby has disappeared. I'm glad the lab was friendly too! When my fence fell down after hurricane Ivan, my Adonis ran up to the nighbors pit bull.. After that, he was on leash restriction till I put the fence back up. So glad you found Hobbs! |
I am so glad you found him too...I know of a person that her yorkie went to visit and didn't make it back...the dogs next door were not friendly at all....Tell little Hobbs to stay safe, lord I bet it scared you to death.....:) |
OMG i am so glad you found him how scary i'm glad it was a happy ending they are little sneaks LOL |
 I know how you feel. I'm so glad no harm came to Hobbs. :) What a little dickens he is. |

O my gosh! Glad everything worked out and you found him!! silly dog was just having some fun! haha! |
whew, when I first saw your subject. I thought oh no, not another one gone. I am so glad it was just next door but I know how it frightens you. The other day, I couldnt find maggie anywhere, I had already called my sister for them to come help look for her, just before we got off the phone here came maggie running up behind me. I still dont know where she was hid. I am so glad you got hootie back. I know how much you love those little dogs. Dont scare me with a subject like that anymore. LOL, next time say hootie ran off but was found. Something like that so you dont give us all a heart attack. ha I really am happy for you that you got hootie back, but I know it had to be cute after the scare to see her playing with such a big dog. They like to play and dont realize the size difference I dont think. woohoo glad you had good news. |
I am sooooooo glad that you found Hobbs and that the lab was friendly and didn't attack him... Give Hobbs lots of kisses from Gucci and I.....Gina |
