I'm bummed!
 
I read so much about you all dressing your babies in cute outfits and taking them in carriers...etc....

Well I live in the country. The only person that going to see my babies in clothes are hubby. There is no place to walk them and no place to take them. (well I could take them to my parents) No place to carry them in a carrier. Nothing!

I have some clothes but just never put them in them. I'm bummed! I don't have kids of my own (I have a step son) So my fur babes are my kids! I want to show them off and buy all these cute stuff for them.

My area where I live just doesn't have anywhere I can take them except Pet Supples Plus. How fun is that! :(

Maybe you can take them to the mall or to town whenever you go shopping? You can still dress them up and take plenty of pictures of them and make nice scrapbooks and photo albums of them. Or better yet, you can dress them up, take plenty of pics, and show them off here on YT!! We would love to see your babies and you know we can't get enough of those precious puppy pics.;)

Believe me when I say this. Consider yourself very lucky to live where you live. There is no better place to live than in the country. How far from town are you? I live just outside the city limits here and I do love where I live, because I do have a paved road to walk on that is off the main road. It is in a development and very safe, except for the baby rattlers!:D I understand what you are saying, but I suppose you could dress them up, go to town, and take them for walks once in awhile. I take mine lots of places with me, even when I go out of town shopping. But her best fun is being with me and walking and going for car rides and even coming to work with me. She loves attention, as I'm sure yours do. Can't you even go to the courthouse and visit with people to show them off?:)

what a bummer!!! You dont have a park or a walking trail? we also have a pet supplies plus :thumbdown but I normally avoid it and drive a hour to go to petco :thumbup:

Maybe you and the babies could go on a day trip to a different town so you can show your babies off :thumbup:

You are lucky. I live in a very populated area and have to walk either on busy streets where people would just as soon run over you and your dog, or a park trail where you constantly pass huge dogs right next to you. My Yorkies usually have a fit when we pass a big dog and I either have to walk a wide circle around them, or pick them up. Also not everyone admires the little outfits. Some people just shake their heads at you like you are nuts. I would trade places with you if I could.

you CAN dress your dog if you feel like it....and take pictures and show US - it'll almost like you were out on the town & believe me - WE LOVE pictures of yorkies in clothes

I WISH i lived out in the country, how peaceful that's gotta be!!
You can dress your babies up anytime you want to, and hey, you can walk them in a stroller down the dirtroad, there's no one to give you those "weirdo" looks... how free that's gotta be?! :D

Take lots of dressed up pics and show us, we LOVE them! ;)

I really don't plan on taking mine to very many places, but I'm still going to dress him. Just dress your babies up and enjoy them!

Who cares if no one sees them?? I've decided that Howie is getting dressed up on Halloween even though we have NO kids and NO trick or treaters. Dress them up and enjoy their cute little outfits! We'd LOVE to see your pictures on here.

I live on the mountain so every where I go I go off the mountain,I live in the sticks. I have a little female that's special she has a soft spot n her skull hubby told me I could buy her some little dresses and things. she doesn't go any where but the vet and groomers.

You guys are right. I may as well do it for myself....and share it with all of you! Its so nice to finally find somewhere I can belong, and not get smart comments about my animals. I'm so glad I stumbled onto YT. Finally animals lovers, just like me!

I am in the same situation almost PLUS, my babies all get carsick. A very nice person on here sent me a tiny vest for Ceeby when he was younger because there was nothing small enough to fit him. Even the xxsmall was too big. I had to almost hogtie him to get it on him and he threww a fit trying to get it off. Same thing happened when I tried todress my baby girl in it. She wasn't quite as bad as Ceeby tho. Sooo, my gang goes naked and that's the way they like it. I stand and drool when I see cute doggy clothes for salee. Even tho mine are grown now, everything is still too big or at least looks like it is except for Silk and she has too much hair to cover up. I like my babiess naked.

Breny, I feel your pain. I live in a small podunk town where, for the most part, dogs is dogs..... if you know what I mean.

The only time I have a reason to dress my babies up and show them off is when I make the 65 mile treck down to do the PetSmart/PetCo thing. :)

It is probably just as well, my kids DO NOT like wearing clothes:D

I live in the country too, and I dress Lucy up for me! Do it for yourself and enjoy how beautiful your baby is!
