barking yorkie Hi all, Just got my first puppy, a new yorkie male a week ago (16wks) and he barks a lot early in the morning. i get up and let him out about 6.30 but now he is barking earlier and earlier to be let out and driving the whole house mad with only a few hours sleep..I know yorkies bark a lot but does any1 have any ideas about what to do, have tried to ignore him as long as possible but that just keeps every1 awake. He sleeps in small back room of house and has toys and water.I let him out to larger kitchen area and he stays here happily on his own. How long can a pup be left through the night in a small place. he spends all day with me so maybe he is a little spoilt....is a great pup otherwise, is doing well with housetraining and walking on lead and eating proper food and is generally adorable....... |
dog Try moving his crate or whatever he sleeps in to your room.Chances are he just wants to be where your at. |
Looks like someone is spoiled!!!! Since he's with you throughout the day he deosn't want to be alone at night. My babies crates are in my room and they did wonderful. Well I can admit Mimi whined alot at night and my fiancee kept bringing her to the bed so needless to say they both sleep with us now :D. They sleep all night unless they have to go potty. I know this is not much help but just like PURPLE3198 said....try moving the crate to your bedroom. |
I go & buy the DVD The dog wisperer. Shush worked for us in a strong tone. |
I just left a thread about barking yesterday about how I stopped my dog from barking. It surprised me how few people viewed my thread when so many people have this same question. It took me a year to find the answer for Lucy. But she has stopped barking now. We are on day 6 of no barking. Search my thread using the word bark or barking. Let me know if this works for you. |
OMG!!!! My Mari doesn't bark she screams!!! It is AWFUL!! She sounds like she's being strung up!! I bought one of those little things that hurts her ears but I can't hear it. It has a sensor on it. It works pretty good, but I can't carry it around with me all the time!! I have never had a dog that sounds like this.  |
