Differences between yorkie/silky I was just wondering what the differences are between a yorkie and a silky.. or a yorkie silky mix?? Like size, temperment... What questions should you ask a breeder who has yorkie/silky mix?? |
Villette posted this link a while back that does a really good job explaining the differences. http://www.hatchs.com/silkies&yorkies.htm |
Sorry- this one is better. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/R...ron-links.html It's at the bottom of the one I posted first. |
awesome!! I searched and searched and couldn't find what I was looking at. Thanks again! :p |
Your welcome!:) Are you thinking about getting a silky or a yorkie/silky mix? |
Well this thread is what's going on with the yorkie/silky mix http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50648 but basically.. a breeder I contacted is interested, but what he has are yorkie/silky mixes.. I'm not sure though..?? |
i dont know a WHOLE lot but... i know that silkies generally get to be around 10lbs - sometimes 12 and yorkies are typically between 4-7lbs so it isnt alot bigger they look VERY similar... someone i work with has a silky and it looks very similar... a lil greyer and 11lbs but not alot diffent plus you dont know which gene will be dominant so it may look all yorkie esp since the diffences are slight good luck hope this helps :) |
I hope you get this precious little angel! She really is a DOLL!!!!!! I would look at both parents first. That is usually a good indication of how she'll turn out. Keep us updated! |

hmmmm, I wonder if there are any yorkie/silky breeders on YT?? This makes me not want a silky/yorkie mix since I want it to be a little smaller than the wook. Thanks everyone! |
