Pet Friendly stores My sister, who works at Best Buy, has informed me that their pet policy is FRIENDLY :animal-pa !!!! I wanted to share this info with all my yorkie toting friends. I love to take Meeko with me everywhere, but there are so many places who frown upon a dog in their present. Even though my Meeko is better groomed than most kids, and MUCH better behaved. :aimeeyork |
That's good news... Now, do I need anything from Best Buy? LOL -wink- |
Thats good to know! I got in trouble one time when I took Peek to Walmart! They were SOOOOOO mean about it too! I agree that my Peek was better groomed and better behaved than most of the kids there too! ;) |
I have taken Nikko to my local Eckerd's Pharmacy and the cashier girls all love him!! I don't know if this is their company policy or just this particular store but I have never had a problem there. |
I haven't had trouble bringing Oscar with me anywhere (yet). From what I've heard, it sounds like WalMart is the only place that consistently won't allow pets. And it's sooo true - most of our dogs are better behaved than some of the children you see running around screaming in the stores...:thumbdown |
You all really know that it has nothing to do with the fact that your little dogs are well behaved -- and well groomed. In most places, dogs (all dogs) are either allowed or they aren't. It is great though that more and more places are becoming dog friendly. ***** I took my Bichon and Yorkie to an outdoor restaurant. The Bichon was perfect - laid by my feet the whole time and watched everything that was going on, and he got a lot of attention, some food, and a lot of petting. He really enjoyed being there. But my little Yorkie (who wasn't really being "bad") kept me busy. He just wanted to go around and visit with everyone ---which would have been okay because everyone around was encouraging him to come over for a visit. However, he constantly had his leash tangled around their tables and chairs - so I spend the better part of my lunch untangling him. Next time, he's going on a shorter leash - and he's just not going to get to visit as much. Fun fun! It was interesting - they did have a few rules at this outdoor restaurant. ...if I can remember them all. 1) They had the right to ask badly behaved dogs to leave... 2) Messes had to be cleaned up immediately -- of course 2) No fighting 4) No excessive barking 5) Good table manners - dogs could be fed - but shouldn't eat off their owners plate's - from the top of the table...... they preferred you have your dog (especially the larger dogs) sitting at your feet when you fed them.... no problem here.... Anyway - outdoor restaurants can be fun... And - so that they continue and more of them and other places become available to our dogs, I think it is important that we teach our dogs to behave well when they are out in public and that we obey whatever rules these different places have. WOO HOO!!!! great news! Thyanks for the tip! |
We live by a CVS Pharmacy and she takes Meeko in with her every time. No one has ever said anything negative to her about him. He is usually in his bag or she holds him. They do have a security guard occassionally standing at the door, but he has never said anything either. Most of the customers come up and want to pet him or ask questions about him. I'm not sure if their policy is friendly as a whole, or just this store. My sister used to work at Target and they are soooooo NOT PET FRIENDLY. They are down right a-holes about it. The employees are told to make the customer leave right away if caught with a pet, even if in a bag. |
