Help, Gracie has gone crazy! Just the past couple of hours she is acting CRAZY. Just standing there not moving a muscle and if anyone comes near her she acts like she is seeing something and runs away scared. It is almost like she is hallucinating. She ate a ton for breakfast and still hasn't pooped. She is just acting nuts. Once in a while she whimpers. I take her out, nothing happens. |
Is she just a puppy? Sometimes puppies see shadows in the house or on the ceilings and think there are ghosties in the house! :D Does she act ok when you take her outside? |
Yep a puppy 7 months, but it's not like she is looking at any one thing. She has NEVER acted this way. She acts so so when I take her out. She feels well enough to beg for food ha ha! |
I've seen some puppies that will look up and all around and then take off running because they think they saw something that was going to get them. Some just spook easier than others. Just tell her it's all right and don't baby her, if you think that's what it is. Take her out until she forgets or something. |
Maybe she's constipated and feeling a little crampy. That might make her feel freaked out. Has she gone yet? Love her name (I have a Gracie too). Good luck. |
I think she is constipated too. I don't know what to give her for that. |
I'll look and see if I can find what it is to give them. If it wasn't so hot, you could take her for a nice, long wallk and that would probably take care of the problem. |
Hard to guess what is really going on. I don't have any real advice other than to try and hold her to help her feel secure. You could also try just a little honey mixed in some warm water, just in case it has to do with a low sugar level. It couldn't hurt her and might help. Good luck and keep a close eye on her. If it gets too wierd or goes on much longer, a call to the vet just to reassure yourself might be a good idea. |
Yep we always go on a long walk at night so we will go tonight when it cools off a bit. |
You can give constipated puppies canned pumpkin of olive oil. Hope she returns to normal soon! |
Look at this thread: Also try a teaspoon of canned pumpkin without all the spices, this is a natural fiber that usually works. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ht=constipated |

Thanks! |
devoted to Lucy! Poor baby! That would worry me, too, but with so many experienced people on YT, I'm sure something will work. I didn't know about the pumpkin until I started reading here, so I plan to keep some on hand. |
