I cut his hair!! 2 Attachment(s) Mojo had a "bout" with those itty bitty tiny seed ticks a few days ago (YUCK). :thumbdown So, I decided I would cut his hair and bathe him (haven't gotten to the nail trimming part yet). I think I did okay for my first "real" all over cut...what do you think? (some of the ear is over one of his ears, but that is normally laying flat or pulled back). I had a hard time with the feet and the ears, but I do not think it looks too bad! ;) Plus, it is super hot here, so the short cut made him feel super cool and hyper! Awh...How handsome with or without hair! |
Thanks! We think he is a pretty handsome little fellow too! He normally sports longer hair, but it just needed to be cut! |
Aww he looks absolutley gorgeous, you did really well! :) |
Great job! He looks adorable long or short, what a face! |
I bet he feels so nice and cool with the shorter haircut! Good job! |
He looks so sweet. i just started a thread about Tia's first hair cut in grooming. How did you manage to do his legs so well? Tia really fought me on that one so she looks a bit scraggley. |
He's a cute little guy! You did good. |
Aww, I think he looks super cute! Good job! (and good luck with the nails, lol! ;)) |

You should be proud of yourself. It looks cute and it's hard to get the "not just hacked up effect" which I think you successfully avioded! He is a sweetheart! |
Good job! he's so cute and he looks so happy!!!! |
Wow Jenn, there is no way Mojo couldn't look cute! I've been considering doing Scout and Pippa myself (Rover Oaks charges $30. per...but they are so worth it), they are both so shaggy and we couldn't get in till Aug 30. They are both in a full coat. Thank goodness they are just hanging out in the air conditioning. My husband talked me out of it...told me to let the professionals handle it! How do you do his face so well???? |
Thanks everyone! The story why I cut his hair wasn't just because of the ticks....but a while back, we had taken him to the groomer (the same one we have used for years), she did charge $20 for the "Works", but raised it to $25 (still a great deal). We always stay there because she likes to chat (okay, to be honest, we just hate to leave him and we are so picky about him too  ).........anyway, there we were and she was almost finished and then she spanked him! He wasn't liking her doing his nails. We about died right then and there!!! My daughter was with me and she mouthed that she wanted to get him and leave, so since I wouldn't just grab Mojo up (which, I did come soooo close to doing), she went to the truck and cried (she is 12). It just broke our hearts and we felt so sick! - We don't even spank Mojo!!! The groomer apologized and said that she had had a bad week (got bit twice by two new dogs, etc). She had worked us in that day too, it was late in the day (about 3:30) on a Friday. Still no excuse....well, we haven't been back and we have been bathing him at home, but he was in need of a cut! When my husband came home the other day (after I cut Mojo's hair), he thought we had went back. ---I'm actually surprised he noticed I cut his hair! :D Well, he wanted to know if I cut do his hair (since I was on a roll that day), so I tired :( --even though I told him that since the barber shop only charges him $8, he would be better off to just go there. WELLLLLL......I tried  it didn't turn out too great! hee, hee! :D He said that he would just wear a hat until he can find time to go to the barber shop! (I told him!) Oh, for his legs, I used the smaller attachment and went down the leg. Then I touched up with scissors. I didn't do his feet very well, but that is okay! I am learning! His face, I wanted to leave a long beard and long on top to pull back...so it wasn't too bad. Although, I don't have a small (very small) attachment, so I had to do between the eyes and ears with scissors. AND, he did let me do his nails. I turned him over on his back (on my legs) and gently massaged them and he looked like he was about to fall asleep! By the time I got to his last foot, he was getting tired of it, but I got it done! :) yay!!! Anyone know of a good brand of clippers with a small (1/2 inch or so) attachement? We have an Oyster brand, but all the attachment pieces are still big. Thanks (sorry for the long post):aimeeyork |
