Benadryl and Bugbites As most of you may remember Keeley had a major reaction to a bug bite a few weeks ago. Well this morning I was petting him and felt that a part of his back skin was feeling hard, when I looked closer I saw a few bug bites. He isn't having a reaction like the last time (throwing up, swollen and weak) but his skin is really hard. And he is itchy. Should I give him some benadryl? |
I don't think it would hurt to give him a little bendryl. It will at least help with the itchyness... |

It is childrens. It is what the vet had me get when he had that horrible reaction a few weeks ago. The vet gave him 2 shots and then had us give him regular childrens benadry for 2 days. I just don't want to give it to him if it should ONLY be used in extremem cases like last time. But if it is okay to give for something minor like this I am going to. I feel bad for the little itchy guy. Thanks:) |

Why should it be Childrens Benadryl? Just wondering. |
Probably childrens benadryl is a lower dosage than the regular one... |
Thanks, I just asked my husband who is a nurse and he said the same thing. |
