This dog is going to be the death of me!
 

I swear of all the dogs I've loved.... this little cheesecake is going to be the death of me! Everyone else is taking their morning nap except Ruby - who thinks that if she shuts her eyes she is going to miss something. I went out to tidy up the backyard and of course she came with me. I SWEAR I had her in my sight the whole time (although now I realize couldn't have or else I am going seriously blind!)

The next thing I know my dear sweet Ruby is looking up at me with BLOOD on her face! I got upset thinking she was hurt - although she just was looking as pleased as punch with herself. We dash inside so I can check her over but there is nothing except the blood on her face and that is just a smear.

I've cleaned her up and gone back out and checked EVERYWHERE! I can't find anything (meaning a little critter or something) that might be bleeding or anything with blood on it. I even checked Charlie to make sure that it wasn't his stichs but no - he is safely sleeping away in his x-pen and healing nicely.

I have a call into the vet because I'm not sure what to give her or do. Somehow blood on my puppy's face that appears not to be her own is very disturbing. I am worried that my one cat that gets out sometimes might have left a present and Ruby ate it!

If its not one thing it's another with this little furball!

If it's not her that's bleeding, or if you think it was her but she has stopped bleeding, then I wouldn't worry about it. You said she's still acting happy, so she's probably not hurt.

Last night I found blood on Howie and one of his toys.. I freaked and thought he got into something... but nope, he just lost one of his front fangs!
