barking My dog barks but sinec its 2 months old barks just alittle and not much, my question is when its fully grown 5lbs approx and gets older will it always bark or when do they usually bark? my lab/pit mix barks only when you play with her or someone rings the bell, if she is left alone she doesnt bark, u think if i leave my yorkie alone once its older it will bark any idea? reason asking , apartment i live in doesnt allow dogs :eek: so figured little dog if she barks wont be to loud but when it did bark think it was loud enough for someone to hear, are those bark collars any good? i would think there not for the health of the dog |
Hmmm... if your dog isn't a "barker" to begin with, it probably won't be later. My dog has been very verbal from the minute we picked him up!! Roxy started out as a very quiet puppy. I was thrilled. Then came the little growls while playing. So cute. Now,at 6 months, she alerts me to any movement outside the house (loud), on the street(louder) and within a 1 block area (loudest) - and converses with the little poodle up the street through the window (between the 2 of them can probably be heard within 3 blocks). She is usually quiet, but once she starts, it takes quite a while to quite her down. So your little one may still get some bark-time in. The are so funny when they first learn they can bark. The funny part gets old real quick. I hope your baby stay on the quiet side. Sound can carry in an apartment bldg. |
barks more actually in the kennel to train her to get use to it actually thats why we would get the collar but dunno if i should have to put her in the kneel, put her in 10 minutes at a time once every 2 hrs approx |
