Charlie's getting neutered today We are about to take Charlie over to the vets to be neutered and get some much needed dental work completed. We are getting him microchipped at the same time too. Please keep him in your prayers today. My daughters very worried about him going and of course I keep reassuring her that he will be OK and how much better it will all be when this has been done. BUT... I do agree with her that this is going to be very stressful for the little guy and so unsettling. Unfortunately he needs this medical care and it has to be done. (I hope the neutering works so that over time he stops his M&M show as Roxy is more than slightly upset as she is so tiny compared to Charlie with his giraffe legs!) With all the power that the YT force generates - can we not speed up today and make it tomorrow morning already? I'd rather be off to go pick him up! J and Charlie's Mommy |
i think charlie will be just fine. he has made it this far with little adjustment. he is a little fighter and he knows what he has to look forward to when he gets home. |
I know what you mean. He was just getting adjusted to the changes and off he goes again, but I agree that it is the best thing and you really had no choice. I hope he does very well, but he'll be a little sore for awhile.:( I do hope this will stop the M&M and Roxy will get a rest. Many hugs to Bonnie Prince Charlie!:) |
Prayers for a safe and speedy surgery. |
Charlie is out of surgery Our little guy is now out of surgery and coming around slowly. I will call for another update later tonight but boy am I glad this is over and can't wait to bring him home tomorrow! |
and I'll bet Charlie will be very glad to see you, too!:D |
I'm so glad that he's doing ok. I think we worry more then them. |
Best wishes to Charlie and you! It's so hard leaving our precious little ones at the vet, but like you say, it has to be done, so we just have to be strong and I think it's sometimes harder on the owners than it is on the dog! Good luck Charlie...get better quickly! |
speedy recovery for charlie!! |
I just wanted to let you know that my sweet little Rexy had his "little boy surgery" on Tuesday. He stayed overnight and I picked him up at 8:00am Wed. morning and he has never acted like anything was wrong, at all!!! He hasn't bothered the stitches (3) and he has just acted completely normal. There was a tiny amount of bruising around the incision, but it is gone today. I just couldn't be more happy that he is doing so well. He is only 7 months old, I don't know how old your Charlie is - but hopefully he will do a fantastic as Rexy! :) |
Charlie's nine months old and I'm hoping for the same results as my two youngest sons come back from camp tomorrow and they have yet to meet him! 8:00 am I plan to be at the vets waiting for the door to open :) I can't believe I have to do this again in three weeks with Ruby and Roxy - :( |
One more hour Just one more hour and we can go pick him up! I can't believe how long a night can be. I feel like I've watched each minute go by. It got to the point where I had to throw a t-shirt over the cable box so that I couldn't see the digital clock! I wish I could call him right now and tell him I am coming to get him and bring him home now forever:hearts-xx |
I am glad you get to bring him home soon. I remember when mine were spayed/neutered and I had them done on the same day. I was on pins and needles untill they came home. |
I am glad the ordeal is over for you and Charlie. Please give sweet Charlie a huge hug from me and my gang :) :ghug: |
Yippee! Bonnie Prince Charlie should be free about now!:D |
