what age they come into heat can differ from dog to dog. First heat maybe 6-7 months, or 1-1 1/2 yrs. It just depends on the dog. There are alot of factors to consider other than age before breeding. Looking back over your other posts, I see you've had behavioral issues (including biting) with your girl. This is something I would definately get a handle on before considering passing on these traits to offspring. (Not sure how thankful anyone would be if you gave them a crazy, biting pup...even if it IS your family.:rolleyes:) You need to determine if her actions are from a lack of training, if there is an actual physical problem, etc.
Try to find a good, well-respected breeder in your area that you can work with to learn the ins and outs of breeding. They can also advise you as far as finding a stud and evaluating your girl for breeding.:)
