Why is she doing this?!?!?!? Why is Mimi humping Timmy :lol tears My poor boy doesn't even know whats going on....lol.....he runs from her! Is there someone else out there that has gone through this? |
It's a dominance thing. She is showing him who is the boss. |
Every once in a while the boys will do this to each other...it's usually during play when one won't give up a toy, the one who wants the toy hops on then right back off and just stands there like...well?? I guess the other one was supposed to give up the toy? We always say 'must be Jo's (or Riley's) turn to be boss! |

WOW I never thought of that....lol You mean to tell me she is going to be the boss...lol Well I guess she takes after someone.....ME...:D Thanks for the info! |
My daughter has two male dogs, both of whom have been neutered and the newer dog (shepherd--rescued from a shelter) tries to hump the dog who has been with them for awhile (lab). She talked to a dog trainer who said it's a dominance thing. After a couple times, the lab gave a very low growl and bark and the shepherd hasn't tried it since. It was like the lab was saying "hey look, I've been here longer, you aren't the boss, so back off". They play together and get along great now that the lab set things straight about who's boss lol. |
ok......I could not help but laugh.... Now, thats what I call a "woman in control" :bravo: |

well id just like to say my 2 boys use to do it to there mum when they were all playing and it was nothing to do with sorting out whos boss, sasha (there mum) was the BOSS and they knew it, it would be sasha on the bottom then zac in the middle and tye on the top lol, sasha would bite both of them and they would roll over showing there boy bits with legs up in the air while she struted around being boss lol they only did it when they were all playing and it was just about the excitement nothing else. :) |

I know it's not a cute thing and I do stop her and tell her NO. Just talking about it on here makes me laugh but I do not let them know I think its funny. Even when Timmy goes to town with his toys I stop him. I wasn't sure why she was doing it because she is a female...I've never owned a female pet so I didn't know that they humped. |
I have also read it is a dominance thing. Jasmine is always bossing the two boys. She rules the roost at my house. The funny thing is she never tries to hump Duffy, but now that Murphy is back living with us she has tried it on him several times. I guess to show him who's boss. I tell her no and she stops. |
I have one little girl that does it to her male friend, but he lets her because he loves her. BUT let the other small male try this and they are fighting and I always had to break the males up. The reason was they are 4 & 5 lbs so when they got to go outside I had them in a xpen together but now they have there own kennel with doogie door they can go out in there runner each one has there own. I donot keep my males with my females. |
I think its a dominance thing, Duchess does it to Mitzi-Mae (they are both girls  ). Its actually quite funny, mitzi runs along with Duchess attached to her hiney! and no mitzi doesnt fear duchess ;) |
Well ritzy must really be confused. From the 2nd day we got him at 8 weeks old he has humped his stuffed hedgehog  He has plenty of other stuffed animals but he only does this with the hedge hog:confused: My kids finally put the hedgehog away they are tired of seeing it. One teen that was here visiting loved him so much, then I guess he humped his hedgehog in front of her because the next time she was over he rean to her because he LOVES her and she said" You nasty where is your hedgehog" LOL... She still loves him jsut not the hedgehog Bonnie |
I have two male Ragdoll cats. Buddy thinks they are his personal toys. One will play with him {the other ignores him} He bites their ears and chases them and generally has a great time. But once a day or so, he humps the one that will play with him. Purrsey just looks confused and I have to stop it. Buddy is almost seven months old and I think it might be time to have him neutered. Will he stop doing this after he is neutered? |
