Live in country, and have my 2 on retractable leashes every couple of hrs Rosi is 16 mo. and Poli is 15 weeks and does great. Too much wildlife here, so they are never off leash @ home. Got 3 , 4 feet xpens coupeld together so they can play, but even then i am right there. My daughter has a fenced in yard ,so i take them often there ! |
Rotties by nature are not mean or aggressive dogs if they are properly raised. Our doberman is about 120 pounds and he thinks and behaves like he is 5 pounds. Our Yorkies play with him all the time. Poor boy, he takes it like a champ and NEVER snaps or growls at the Yorkies. The rottie might have not been aggressive (i don't know the situation beyond what you posted) so that may be why he/she didn't attack you. He might have been scared, nervous or confused since he was not in his "natural" environment. As for fencing in the year, Lowes and Home Depot sell ready made Kennels. Four sides and they just clamp together. Very easy to set up, take down and move. We used a large one years ago before our yard was fenced it was a 10 ft by 10 ft by 6 ft high kennel from Lowes for our previous doby. |
