I just wanted to say...
 

Even though I don't post too much here, I do read it and appreciate the insight of YTers. With that said, I am also a member of myspace, there are several groups on myspace devoted to yorkies. However, I find no need to post there when I can post here. In general, YTers are much more informative and educated about a variety of topics. And with the yorkie groups on myspace, no one can speak freely with out being berated about several different causes. This is fine and well, as they are for good causes, however, it seems like the people on those forums are a little...argumentative and hostile. I know I am not a bad person because I bought my dog from a breeder and didn't rescue, tell that to them. That is not the way it should be, advice should be given when asked for, opinions as well. I just would like to say I appreciate the mature and thought out responses on this forum, and think everyone should know it. Thats all I really wanted to say. Thank you.:thumbup:

Very nice to hear that I love it when people see YT for what it really is a great big family that is here to help eachother in everyway. Glad you are a part of this family and look forward to hearing more posts from you!

I've been on a lot of different internet sites for a lot of different interests, and YOU'RE RIGHT....most of them can be brutally contentious!

It's a breath of fresh air when you find a place where people with ALL sorts of different perspectives and passions can freely post their opinions. And this is just such a place! :)

Because we're human, of course there are posts that sometimes cross the line...and on the other hand, I think there are also occasional times when someone is UNFAIRLY censored for voicing their opinion here...BUT FOR THE MOST PART---

---there are a lot of different kinds of people here, with a lot of different kinds of dogs, that they acquired in a lot of different kinds of ways (and yes, a lot of different sets of convictions accordingly ;)) ...BUT, we are united in our love for that wonderful yorkie personality that shines through it all! We share a love affair with OUR BABIES, and that is enough!

I agree completely with you. Here is what I found to be disturbing about the "other" group. 1. So a new person posts about how they are getting a new baby and pick it up tomarrow. With out any other info, the sh*t storm begins. They assume its from a pet store, he never said, either way. And inform him its not to late to get his money back, and not purchase the puppy. Then after that he should adopt a nice adult yorkie from a rescue, because there are too many adult dogs that need homes. This is true and pet stores do buy from unsavory characters, however, who's job is it to tell another adult how to live their life? No ones. I can see discussing how the benefits of adopting are/can be better, however that is a personal decision, to be made by the person. As are all life decisions. How sad to be new and alienated so fast! All he wanted to do was share his joy.

2. If I want to call my babbies teacup, I will. If I want to call them water bottles, I will. It doesn't matter, they are mine. I understand there is no official teacup yorkie, however used as a descriptive term, it works nicely. And I think thats all that really matters.

If any of you have myspace, you should check out this group and see if I am right or wrong. It is my opinion, ya'll are just better, I feel. Thanks for the comments, I appreciate it. I will keep posting, and enjoying my time here. Thanks again.

whew...I'm glad I have not run into those groups. There are several groups on MySpace I belong to, but none that sound like all that!

i love YT! it's slow at my work right now so i spend a good deal of time on here during the workday.. it makes the day go by much quicker!

I am on myspace as well but not a member of any forums between here and there I can't keep up:D Thank you that was very nice what you said about YT and I agree with you.
