I'M SO SORRY TO HAVE TO TELL EVERYONE THIS!!!:( :( But i got throught to the shelter snd they said he is to viscious to send to a home that he will probably no longer be adoptable i told her that we had someone in texas that wanted to drive down and pick him up and this is what they told me. I am so heart broken i don't know what to do. this is the # to the shelter you have to ask for the shelter and they will conect you 479-273-2455 i don't know what to do:( :( :(

The lady that answered the phone said he is not available for adotion any longer because he is viscious. I asked if there was someone i could talk to about the situation & she took my number and said she will have someone call me. I am waiting to see what the deal is!:confused:

Hopefully they are mistaken and he is just really scared!!!! That's what I would think...:fallen: I might not be myself in a shelter either! poor little boy...

Why would they list him for adoption if he's vicious. I thought they screened all that before listing a pet.

I feel so bad i don't know if they are saying this because i called asking about him i told them i was calling from utah and a lady who lived in texas wanted to adopt him she put me on hold for a sec then came back and told me he was vicious. Then TxYorkieMama called them and they told her the same thing i don't know what is going on here this dog has been there since 8/11 you think that it would have been pulled off the site by now if it was so viscious. Something is fishy here i hope TxYorkieMama can get a call back and find out what is going on. I have her # mabey i will call her and see if there is any news.

I was able to get a hold of her and she is getting the run around someone e-mailed her back saying they were going to pick up the dog and if she would come pick him up she is gonna post the e-mail but this is so bizzare!! but mabey someone else could call the shelter and ask about him see if they changed thier minds and if they say he's not adoptable mabey ask why they have him on the web site and why it took them 6 days to find this out i would call agin but i think they will know it's me and ask for my # i'm in utah so they will not call me back. Please let me know if someone would be willing to call and check this out the # is 479-273-2455 and he is dog 303 yorkshire terrier.

Here is the response I received:

I have been told by the animal control officer that this little male is a biter. I have to bring him home to see if he is really aggressive or just scared. We cannot adopt out a dog that is aggressive or who bites.

Also, you live in Texas? Would you be willing to drive to Arkansas to pick up the dog if he is adoptable?

Of course I replied that I would absolutely make the trip to get him. But I am wondering why is this person taking him home? Any thought?:confused:

Ok sweetie what they are saying is she is gonna take him home first to see if he is just scared at the shelter or if he is really aggressive(in a diff environment) then what she is saying is that if he is just scared then they will let you adopt him she wants to know if they say he is adoptable if you are willing to drive there to the shelter to pick him up. YAY this is a good sign!! they are giving him a chance to show he could be a lovin puppy!!!
