Ok the only thing I know is Kim will call me, she may be tired of me calling her, so I don't want to be too pushy. I am on the list, she assures me she will call and let me know as soon as she possibly can. I left her 2 messages today but I am sure she is busy. As of last night, she still has no word from CHeryl Gibbs (TexaMama?) The one that was ready to drive down and pick him up as soon as he was fixed. Chancey is staying at Kim's house and I am sure is being given love & care. She said he was a lover.:) So as soon as she gives me the ok, I will drive down and pick him up, I already got my maps ready from Mapquest and my bag is packed. One decision left to make is: Do I leave my girls behind or do they take the drive with me. They love the car and they are used to longer drives then this BUT I wasn't sure if Chancey would need undivided reassurance and care. I don't know if he is used to long drives or if he has ever been in a car or how old he is or if he gets carsick:confused: ...................... waiting................waiting Kim will call soon, Kim will call soon:p Kim best call soon ha ha... She told me last night, she needs to speak to Cheryl Gibbs first!:(

Oh wow...I haven't been on in a couple of day (I had a final in one of my classes) and I wasn't worried about him anymore, because I thought he was taken care of. This makes me sad. :cry:
Cheryl, if you are out there and you have changed your mind, please call the shelter and let them know it's okay to give Chancey to Pattie!!!!!:hands:
Pattie, bless you for doing all of this for this little guy.:notworthy When I saw him I just knew he needed a loving home and I wanted him, but I haven't had my Daphne for long and just getting used to taking care of her...I pray this all comes through for you and Chancey!:xfingers: :hands:

I just read all this thread. I hope that Cheryl is ok and gets in touch with Kim soon. I hope that someone from YT can give Chancey a happy home.

If I were you I would leave the girls home for the ride, so that Chancey can have a chance to bond with you first. Also so that he doesn't get scared and snap at the girls while you drive, it would be unsafe. Let him bond with you and slowly introduce him to the girls when you get home. I hope you get him :D

I was thinking the same thing. Give Chancey an opportunity to have some one on one with you before meeting everyone. Good luck!!!!

I agree with leaving the girls at home for this one :( I can understand you wanting to take them, but I agree...I think it would be better, FOR HIM, if he had some "alone" time with you first to get used to you, and you alone...then you can slowly introduce him to "the girls" ;) I hope you get this little guy! I have been stuck on this thread like GLUE! :animal-pa

Don't worry, it will as soon as Cheryl gives them the ok and I take a long fast drive! Chloe, Sissy & I are already singing.... Chancey & the girls, sitting by a tree. one lifts his leg, the others squat to pee.... Chancey probably goes out, the girls use a pad.... If Cheryl doesn't call soon, them we are all going to be mad!:D :D PS I left another message for KIm, I told myself to be patient but I gave in again......................

I hope you can get Chancey. That little guy will have it made - surrounded by all those girls!:p He has been thru so much and must be totally confused. He needs to be in his forever home, and I really think it should be in Michigan. Oh, I love the name Chancey. Will you keep it? It just seems to fit him perfectly. Praying you get the go-ahead to make a road trip real soon.

Yes we'll keep it & HIM too.... My kids are all gone (I had 3) So as I told Kim, might as well have 3 again! (And get this, I had 2 girls & a boy without fur) If all goes well, I'll have 2 girls and a boy with fur:D

Relax and feel good. He has not been in the shelter. Kim from the shelter took him home with her. That was the first day only.
He's fine and loving up on her.
