Have you ever heard of.... I was looking online at some yorkies for sale in Minnesota and I found a breeder that had yorkie babies. I was reading and she had a brother and a sister for sale for $500 each. I thought to myself WOW that is cheap. I read on and she said that one leg is shorter than the other, on both puppies. What kind of problems could come from that? Also have you ever heard of puppies "blowing their coat"? |
sounds like a birth deformity? never heard of blowing their coat . but why would someone sale defect puppies for so much? keep looking i think that's jmho. could you post a link? |
I wonder how much of a difference in their legs there actually is. They may not be show quality, but just a slight difference in leg lengths may not be that big of a deal. Please post the link if you can. As for "blowing their coat," :idontknow I've never heard of it. |
Blowing their coat means, they are losing their baby coat, and getting an adult one. I don't know if your Yorkies did this, but my Morkie did. When we got Piper she was losing her hair, the breeder said she was probably blowing her coat. I just think the breeder was trying to cover it up that her hair was falling out do to poor diet. |
I'm certainly not an expert, and have never heard of "blowing their coats". I'd love to see a link though. |
i really havent read that much on blowing coats in yorkies, but i know that at around 9 months pomeranians blow their coats, which means losing baby coat |
When we got Stewy, the breeder said that he would not ween and he blew his coat. He was patchy and so the shaved his body but not his head. He looked so pathetic. The breeder told me that he had to force feed him for 6days. |
Here is the links for the pups for sale. http://www.puppyfind.com/view_listin...0157e4ed876ea4 http://www.puppyfind.com/view_listin...26page%25253D1 |
Maybe the back are shorter or longer than the front. I have seen this, and it was hardly noticeable, though this case might be a lot different. Definitely disqualify a show dog though. It would not bother me a bit, if everything else was ok. |
Oh my goodness! These two are ABOSULTELY PRECIOUS!!!!!!!!! Is there anyway you can go look at them?? If you can, I would say DEFINATELY go look at them. Maybe the leg thing isn't a big deal at all. :idontknow |
yeah, it is a couple hours away. It is just getting my hubby to let me get one. If I go look I BUY!!!! :yelrotflm |
I have a short leg. My female has a leg that is shorter than the other three. Hers is due to her momma breaking it when she was very little. She was from my moms litter Anyway the vet said all was ok. she just broke it in the growth plate so it is about 1/4 inch shorter. it doesn't stop her in the least. The vet did say that there is a birthdefect that does acure in some Yorkies that makes a leg shorter. They are health but should not breed. Blowing coat. I think off a chow or huskie that looses it's season coat. |
omg they are cute and tiny! yes go look at them, heck buy them both lol i probobly would lol let us know what you do :):animal-pa |
LOL I would love to buy both!!! babies running around I think I might have to find a new hubby too.:scratchhe |
