Has anyone tried the "PuppyPurse"??? Has anyone tried or seen this? I was looking online at dog carriers and ran across the "PuppyPurse" on Glamour Dog.com. www.glamourdog.com/hotdogbabypink.html My baby only weighs 3 lbs. but I would never put this harness on her and use her as a purse! Are they kidding? Yorkies, and other small dogs, are so delicate. Don't you think that carrying your dog around in this manner would lead to a collapsed trachea? I'd couldn't post a picture so you'd have to go to this site. I do, however, like the "Hobo Hello Kitty Bag" I just wished it came in another color besides pink. Here's what the ad says: Hot Dog Baby Pink - $85.00 Turn your cool little canine into one sizzlin' hottie when you dress them in stretch vinyl fabrics from PuppyPurse! Soft and cuddly, and in eye candy colors, doggie fashion just doesn't get any slicker! |
no.... i don't think he would feel safe and secure with his legs hanging out. |
I know, it's very strange. I don't think the inventor is a dog owner. I know my dogs would hate to dangle in the air as I walked. |
I have seen several different types of PuppyPurses. They look really cute, however I don't think they would be very comfortable for the dog. I am a short person and when I sit in a chair my legs don't always touch the floor. If I have to sit for any length of time with my legs dangling, it hurts. :D |
I recently saw a dog in one of these. Looked totally uncomfortable. I would have trouble justifying putting Gypsy in one of these. |
Yes, it does look uncomfortable for the pup. A dog is not a purse. Sooo, what's with the handles??? Looks creepy in my opinion. |
I think it looks very uncomfortable for the dog, not to mention stupid. |
I actually own one of the original puppy purses from the puppy purse official website (not a generic version). My larger yorkie, who is 8 lbs. just loves it and is very comfortable in it. When you order one you measure very specifically so that it fits very secure. I do not keep her in it very long, just when I take her with me into places or walking around downtown or in a larger group of people, such as farmers market. I like it because it does not hit her around the trachea area as many regular purses do when they sick their heads out of the bag. It is so secure you are aware of the dogs every movement and they yours... Speaking from experience, I love it and am comtemplating ordering one to fit my smaller 4 lb. yorkie as well. |

1 Attachment(s) I found a picture of the puppy wearing the puppy purse...what do you think? |
The picture is actually pretty accurate, except that you use the shoulder straps to wear it not the handles. No, my yorkie Lulu does not seem to mind her legs dangling as the body fits so secure. Both of your hands are free as in carrying a regular purse, and lots of the time I kinda rub and touch her legs as we walk along. There is no extra pockets or anything, it is just for carrying the dog. If measured correctly, it is not tight around the leg openings, just secure around the girth of the dog. Once I am done with wherever we are going she comes out, it is not for holding the dog as in a bag or carrier. I feel secure in taking her in it to highly populated events as she is so close under my arm. I wish I had invented it, as I had at least 15 people inquire as to where to purchase on once when I was on a day trip to Yellowstone National Park. If I would have had them in my car, I would have made a hauling.... |
I think these are weird but if someone likes them then i say go for it i prob wouldn't use one. |
