Lil' Miss Izzie will eat anything and everything she can get in her mouth.....just this past week she pooped out some red stringy item and had some clinging on to her behind that I had to remove :eek: Of course I'm searching high and low trying to figure out just what she got into....come to find out that when she was upstairs she was chewing on a outfit that my daughter brought me back from Hawaii and it had red strings on it...after taking a closer look at the article...sure enough she had eaten some of it... Is there nothing these dogs won't eat :D |

Goofy Suzi has pooped out bird seeds.... From our cocketiels! |
Ok - I had my two furbabies to bed one night and the next morning I awoke and found a opened packet and a closed packet on the the floor. It was "Rat Poison" It was a SUNDAY morning. My husband also found a few green pellets on the floor. I was panicking. Our exterminator had probably put them there years ago. When the hay in our fields are cut behind our house, field mice will attempt to retreat inside. We usually use glue boards if we see a mouse. I called my vet and she happened to be there. I wasn't sure if they had eaten any. I rushed to the vet wearing my pajamas in the middle of a storm!! The main ingredient in the Poison causes the mouse to hemorrage, until death. Firstly I was off to the vet. My husband was calling the exterminator and we didn't know what to expect. They were put on a dosage of vitamin K and did well. No bleeding, no lethargy, they were great! My husband called me the next morning to look at Millie's poo. It was nothing but green pellets. Very scary. We now have puppy proofed our house and it was much harder than baby proofing it. Such a scare!! Hopefully, we won't see anything else in their poo! |
